The fact that you chose a boring way to play for this character does not mean that he is boring. With this approach, almost all warframes are boring, for example octavia - 1234-squats-repeat. Nidus is one of the most flexible and versatile warframes that has no useless abilities, just don't get hung up on the fact that you can stack a mutation. For example, I replaced his third ability with another one and I only use mutation when I need an ult. He already has one of the best survivability in the game due to high base defenses and hp, trying to improve survival through mutation, augments and parasitic link is a waste of time.

I can only enjoy Nidus when playing with a full infested loadout. It just feels right, even with that crappy Arum Spinosa

In my opinion, this augment does not change anything at all. The amount of health does not significantly affect your survivability. You either have the ability to maintain your health at the same level or you don’t. If your health is falling, you have already done something wrong. And having 3000 health instead of 1000 health will just delay the moment when everything breaks a little And moreover I'll get a lot more value by spending 2 mod slots on really useful mods instead of 2 augments And I will also not have a cooldown on a passive skill. This augment is just “fun” but has no real benefit

This weapon goes hard with Citrine and Volt. Took it level cap void cascade on both frames. Was almost one shotting level 9999 Thrax. Just make sure you have a tennokai mod equipped for that nasty slam damage without losing combo

Main flaw of this mod - enemy you cast decoy on, doesnt have any immunity from your dmg So you use decoy and then just play as you always play. And enemy with decoy just die in 5 second because you hit him with some AOE

A steel path level 225 corrupted heavy gunner has ~27,600,000 effective HP and enemy weapons are significantly weaker than ours as they only need to kill our relatively squishy warframes and obviously don't have access to mods.

If you were to pair it with some form of armor strip, this does a lot, plus with the upcoming armor changes, I think youll find this gets indirectly buffed.

Not sure where the overguard comes from but if it persists as it is, I might actually switch the Final Stand augment for the Javelin one and make Styanax the absolute unit he is supposed to be. Great work

Overguard is not affected by damage reduction from armor so running armor shards/fiber is pointless as long as you are able to maintain your overguard. Same goes for vitality. Health and armor are basically dump stats on Kullervo.

I did this build, but i swapped out his 4th for breach surge and it just deletes everything in his path.

Was already considering citrine for the “energy tanking” a friend showed me a video on due to the 1st ability being insane for energy gain but thanks for reminding me how insane (garunteed) red crits are.

The reason they didn't change the ability is so you can't combine it with the Merulina Guardian augment. That would allow you do have an immortal companion giving you 90% damage reduction and permanent +200% fire rate and reload speed while also being able to replace Sea Snares with something else. It would have made her too strong. Also, going with more duration and the Surging Blades augment allows you to stand next to Riptide and build up some crazy damage for the thrown Aquablade, which you can then throw into the Riptide to ensure that everyone inside is having the worst day possible.

Sadly you have to slot in primed sure footed if you have to go endurance since you can still be staggered by eximus and heavy gunners if you dont have psf wrym with negate will help, but other than that she is a really good guns platform since sea snare's has damage vulnerability and she is now in a really good spot together with Hydriod and Inaros.

Thanks for the recent vid. After about 2 yrs. off of WF i'm back to have fun but have to finish several more nodes for the basic star chart and was like, "What is a mirror defense". Doesn't seem that popular with player base but I'd like to understand and get these over with so appreciate the tips and explanation.

I feel like the part you're missing about his relationship to the meta is that sevagoth is the disappointment frame no matter which direction you take him. You are right about shadow except that its plenty tanky if you do the umbral set or can even shield gate if you don't. Much tankier than sevagoth by a lot. Everything else about the clunky movement, redundant damage effects, and the claws being only fine totally on point. He doesn't feel like a ultimate form worth building up a meter to use. He feels like the tanky boring frame that should be the base until you build up to using the cool caster wizard part. Even if you helminth over it you want to mod this way for his passive so that's a few forma wasted already. You have a health tanking setup that tries to make sevagoths low health and armor base stats work, but you can't add nearly enough mods to make not exploding under concentrated fire doable. Gloom life steal does a lot of work right up until it doesn't. This is his only life steal btw and all damage including his abilities works so phrasing it as triple layer anything is painting him as having a more loaded kit than he actually has. With this build you have only enough strength to make reap barely worth its bonus damage so you get almost no benefit out of sow and that extra nourish damage is doing the heavy lifting. I use him as a nourish glass cannon build but relying on the cc from gloom has the problems you mentioned. The extra mod slots get dedicated to a slightly stronger slow and easier spamming but he's got so many flaws its barely even worth it. His damage types specifically are all over the place with sow dealing low true damage, reap dealing higher radiation damage, and his super cool synergy percent max health damage dealing.... blast? This would be amazing for scaling if he had a armor strip but he doesn't come with anything like that and to make it worse the explosions aren't effected by range mods so he also needs a grouping ability. Nourish spreading viral and staggers performs double duty multiplying that scaling damage and giving the last push to boosting energy supply with some minor cc but even with all that synergy he performs pretty poorly if you manage to get locked out of recasting sow. That leaves his current most known use which is basically ignoring sow and just boosting weapon damage with his augment and reap which can use any helminth and whatever survival method you like and performs well enough but is basically giving up. He only ever rises to mid with huge investment whichever way you go and never seems to be comfortable and reliable in the way other frames with less going on would be. The more you reach out toward something that feels strong in some way, the more destabilized the foundation becomes which really limits what's possible here.

I have a lato riven thats +crit damage and +Multishot with -Projectile speed. 20.4X crit damage. outdoes my vasto now out of sheer capacity and ability to aoe.

LOS on his tragedy when his 3 already has los is indeed horseshit. But but but it has 30 meter radius and we capped it at 1 billion, its so stronk...when you can only effectively hit mobs in like 15-20 meters directly in front of you (best case scenario...simulacrum warrior style) IF there is nothing in the way, and oh boy is there a LOT in the way. I dont bother to try damaging mobs with his 4, guns are way more effective and that feels real bad on a mage caster frame. They shit the bed hard and now revert the birds but still ignore the community, pages of pages telling them to remove LOS but noooo that would be disruptive to rotation a timmy on hydron. Yesterday i compared 2 survival 20 min runs steelpath, dante with spells and loki with melee influence innodem...loki won the kpm race....mage my ass.

Second comment, I agree with everything you say, except LOS on dark verse too. That was wonderful for breaking containers and touching enemies in the other room. I'm extremely disappointed in DE ATM and many partners are shilling for them. I guess I'll go use a less OP frame like Kullervo.

They really have something out for Dante, this LOS is no better than before. My build is incredibly energy hungry, when I miss 30% of the enemies it's a waste. I'm not sure if the birds feel strong or not, I did play for hours. I just know tragedy still misses a lot of enemies, especially back left.
