Volant Cold Air Intake Install on Cammed 3v F150

After installing the Volant cold air intake I can definitely notice improvements while driving from sound, throttle response , MPG. Over all a much, much better air flow!

What drop do you have ?
@ViporSneaky21 it's on belltech coilovers up front and a flip kit in the rear so a 4/6

@ViporSneaky21 heads up 2014 year models use 2015 front suspension so just make sure you get the proper kit for your year truck. And 1 more thing, to fix your camber up front I'd recommend going with some adjustable upper control arms. Oh last thing lol. The belltech kit is actually a 3/5.5 drop but I used the stock shackels to keep It a true 6in rear drop

What kind of head lights you running ? I’m pushing 220,xxx rn no problems been driving her to Vegas ,Santa Barbara to San Diego and daily driving for work 40 miles to work and 40 miles back no problems just take care of her keep her maintained
@jessbigboss09 that's the key to longevity. The headlights are ANZO headlights.

@ChinoFlamedUp14 up front it's on belltech adjustable coilovers now sitting at a 4in drop and the rear is the belltech 5.5 flip kit but I swapped back to stock shackles for a 6in drop so a 4/6

@@SyndicateLoboI just got the cams and installing them but ion have enough for the tune cause I just spend hella on the cams and other stuff will it still run with the factory tune till I have enough 🤣
@@drippyninja7231 i would wait till you have enough for tune honestly. I dont recommend running it without a tune. It'll run like like dog crap and would cause issues with drivability

@drippyninja7231 after you send them the info they need for the tune should be only a few days. I got mine in 2 days I believe.

yo what year is your truck? ,what engine does it have in it? and very nice build glad i have a 2007 5.4L fx2 sport my first truck and just bought a 2018 f150 and imma start to mod the 07 truck.
It's a 2010 with the 4.6l 3v. Ford trucks are a great platform to build off of.

What cams did u go with
Detroit Rocker cams also sound really good. I think they got the 3 valve engines figured out.
The volant intake is a very nice piece. The stock 05-09 mustang gt intake with the dual tb might be a nice upgrade. Probably a little bit shorter runners than the truck intake, but longer than the frpp intake. So you might still stay in that sweet spot for torque, but gain some upper rpm. Also, you would want to either delete the intake runner flaps or remove them.

I just did comp 127400 cams in my 04 5.4L 3v. I had to replace springs and did livernoise phaser limiters. I also removed the intake runner flaps. Brendspeed is working with me on the tune still. I wish it had more chop at idle. But the power is very good.
Thinking of these on an expedition. Have you noticed any low down power loss? I’m mainly concerned because it’ll be a tow rig and I want to beef it up as much as possible.
Torque still feels like it's there but the only way to truly find out would be with a dyno run

That's a good looking truck. I like the FX2 and FX4 color matched ones. I'd probably remove the side steps though. Did you do the cam phaser lockouts?
I dont mind the side steps since they cover the bulky frame lol. But no. For these cams cam phasers arnt necessary

Definitely gotta get some pulls filmed. Right now I average about 14 mpg city and 16 highway which isn't bad at all

Have you done the tune up ? Just got mine done and it’s night and difference watching your videos made me want to get the same cams. I’m going with the high flow K&N intake. I also found these headers on eBay gonna be installing them on my 4.6. F150
I changed coils and plugs a few days after doing the cam swap. Share the link to the headers I definitely need some.
