Bitwig Studio!

I thought of using a different reverb like Waterverb or PSXverb but those are kind of complicated so I figured I'd just go with something I know everyone either knows about or already uses to keep it simple and quick.

Windows plugins always have that look to them, don't they lol

I prefer the original too. I'm not trying to replace the originals or anything, just create a rescore in my style.

@@Emily_M81 I thought about doing a video on Camel audio and Alchemy when I recognized it on Hark The Ghouls soundtrack. Sadly I don't want to knowingly make a video on something that's incredibly inaccessible

@@TurtleBoxOfficial I completely get it. I still have not forgiven Apple for buying my favorite synth and making it Logic-only LOL. I've been tempted to learn Logic just to have access to Alchemy again, but I no longer use Macs, either. Sadly, the Humanoid Sound Systems stuff is just gone :(

Sadly I'm on Windows. I'll try to make it clear if things are Windows Exclusive or not from now on.

I think that's my favorite part about the video, is my stoned ass unable to see the word "spot on" and say it without thinking it's meant to be pronouncedin some weird whacky way

I explained this in another comment, but this is specifically why I use Bitwig. I talk about in some of my other videos how a lot of the plugins I wanna show folks just don't really work right these days, and your options are have Bitwig or use a bridge. I don't personally think it's that big of a deal if that's fair. It's a lot more fair than people who make videos about Free Plugins and not disclose that they all need paid services or are only Demos and stuff. 32 vs 64 is a pretty okay price to pay in my opinion.

Hey..I totally agree with you..and my apologies if my post gave the impression I was being negative in any way. For the record, this was the first video of yours I've watched, so I have yet to read the post of yours you referred to..but yeah, I also have a ton of old 32 bit plugs that I still use today..many of which still give modern plugins a run for their money when it comes to quality of sound and over system footprint size! Anyway, thanks for the video..seeing both of these again was a real blast from the past. 😉👍

@@Dan_Corkery I got no negative impression at all! Sorry if I came off that way. I actually have some motor function damage, so while I talk like a goof in real life, I actually type how I think in my head which leads to sometimes weird tones or over explaining. I'm glad you got a reaction out of the videos too, I ended up covering the Swamp synths from the same developer a week after this video and had a lot of fun with those too.

yeah a lot of these old plugins are 32-bit only due to age, and Ableton Live doesn't bridge 32-bit to 64-bit

Hey I just wanted to really let you know how much this comment means ot me. Thank you so much.

I've actually been using Bitwig since it came out, and only because I feel like it's the only DAW that actually manages experimental music very well. There are a ton of built in features in Bitwig that allow you to just endlessly route and create modular paths in ways other DAWs struggle and even limit you.

@@TurtleBoxOfficial I use Ableton, and with Max for Live, you can do a lot-more than in Bitwig, in my opinion. Even with Ableton's stock plugins, you can create some really cool experimental stuff. I'm really into IDM, drill'n'bass, circuit bending, and experimental music overall. I tried Bitwig before but didn’t find anything innovative enough to make me switch besides the grid. As a Bitwig user, can you tell me what you find cool about this DAW?

@@revorLana Bitwig doesn't Crash when a VST sandbox crashes like Ableton. Bitwig contains VSTs into individual spaces prevent this from happening, as well as to save a lot on PC resources, which ultimately allows you to run more plugins and VSTs than other DAWS can handle before starting to lag out. Bitwig being sandbox based means it's opening every instance of a plugin, stock or otherwise, into it's own individual container, meaning it's possible to open something like a Juno VST with one Oscillator and start slapping on as many as you want. I can open a MicroKorg VST with two Oscillators, quadruple that to six, and then give each of those Oscillators their own EQ, Reverb, Compression, ect. No other DAW works like this because no other daw (except maybe reaper with it's container system) can reach that output without major CPU usage and high risks of crashing and needing extreme automation. Bitwig has a really sharp learning curve, I don't recommend it to people ever. It's just something I've been using since 1.0 and I originally only stick with it because I think it's Workflow customization is the best out there. I really don't like messy Workflows, so being able to clear EVERYTHING except the Timeline and my modulation is perfect for me.

@@DannyTaylorHintonOK try manually dragging the file into one of the tracks in your DAW, that's how I usually do it tbh

I can only confirm they're compatible with Windows, as I use them on my Windows PC in Bitwig Studio - www.bitwig.com/ It's a Modulation based DAW, really experimental and has been crafted by German Audio techs for over a decade. It's an ambient producers dream, but very expensive.

they would basically be compatible with any DAW. Been a while since I used a DAW but in their program files theres usually a folder to plonk your VST into and it should turn up next time you boot the DAW

@@mt_meek It depends on the DAW. I use Bitwig, and If you can't tell by my content I'm kind of super unorganized and unhinged. I have a Plugin Folder to store all files, manuals, and loost .vst / .dll files. Then I have the VST Root folder for Bitwig, which is on an entirely diff drive, lmao. I have two 4G Barracuda HDDs. The second drive is only for Software /ect. So I know personally it's weird for Bitwig to look for plugins and VSTs across two drives and over 60 different folders, just folders within folders, lol.

AutoChroma is free, if you go to the store page, and download the the "Try the Demo" Page, it gives you access to a "lite" version that never explires. This is the full version of AutoChroma, just missing almost all of the presets.

@@comaloma Yeah, the description says it's just a cut. And it's not taken from the 20th anniversary concert. It's from the MH: World Fatalis fight, which is just a higher quality remaster of the original track.
