    One area that has now really become a big issue but doesn't appear to be covered by the Peelian principles, .. is what real true law actually is? If a so-called elected government, including the Head-of-State, the Executive, the SecretService-MilitaryIntelligence, the PrivyCounci, the Legislative, the Judiciary & Senior Civil/PublicServants & senior Police Chiefs, .. are unlawful & have been infiltrated & hijacked by organised crime, .. & when our Great Constitutional Security & Lawful Conventional Restoration Clause, Article61 of the original Constitutional & perpetual Magna Charta1215, has been lawful invoked & acknowledged,.. due to serious breaches of the Constitutional Coronation Oath, .. as it has been from March 2001 to this day & beyond, until lawful remedy has been satisfactorily been achieved, then what lawful-authority can it hold? It can't, as all lawful authority, .. would have lawfully transferred to all those who have lawfully declared their lawful standing, under the 2001 lawfully invoked A61 of MC1215 & who are lawfully distressing & distraining all the criminals, as peacefully as they can within, .. the criminal regime, .. by lawfully promoting these facts to the best of their ability, to everyone else. Our natural unalienable Common Law Constitutional principles, rights & freedoms, that have come to wo/man from the Divine Wisdom of our Creator of the universe & all natural things, are the core principles of our Constitutional Sovereign Law & all Statute legislation rules, regs, codes & directives, .. should be in accordance with these primary principles for them to be lawful.

    Mate, idk where you get your stats from. My mate is a police officer on his 5th year, earning 85k GBP a year in NSW Police.

      Figures in this case are from NSW Police website directly. 'Constable Level 5' is AUS $91k (about GBP £47k), as per blog this video summarises. Be aware, I am comparing only the standard basic salary landings between the two countries. Many officers, both here and abroad, can earn far more with overtime (as outlined in my 2022-23 salary blog below), as presumably your mate is doing to go beyond the salary band. policepromotion.blog/2022/08/30/show-me-the-money-police-officer-salaries-and-progression

      This is more a question from the College, however I expect they'll implement some sort of transition arrangements for those who are already qualified with legal exam.       As I explain in my Masterclass and eGuides, the only advantage of temporary promotion is more opportunities to understand the role and build up a bank of promotion evidence. Regardless of SIPP or NPPF, this will still be the case.

      Hi Wayne, I can't answer that as the College have not released such details as to how NPPF will transform to SIPP, but I'd guess there will be some sort of transition. Hopefully the College will publish some sort of FAQ and info about SIPP on their site soon!

    The terminology being utilised does not impress me, it sounds like typical manegerial jargon that fails to get to the root of problems. What is required is a proper and independent organisation outside of the police to enforce punitive action against officers that comit offenses. The Legal system could do this but the CPS is just another branch of the state that is up the arse of the Police. Complaints get sent to the phoney PCA who fail to act upon them. We can't afford to prosecute all police officers that break the law, if we did we would soon have no police, but we could certainly make an example of a quota of the worst cases and apply genuine and effective penalties to the rest. A mere ticking off and a black mark on their record which will have no real effect is not enough. FINE THEM!

      CPS is absolutely not up the arse of Police. They're nothing but a thorn in the side of Police and are the real issue that should be drawing the ire of people when they complain about lenient sentences or the police seemingly 'not doing anything'.

    Hi, as you say the packs are for police officer promotions. I am police staff going to interview for a semi lateral staff movement where the interview is going to be in front of a board of 3 officers. There are 5 cvf based questions a mixture of forward and backward facing, are there are videos that you would suggest that may assist me? Many thanks

    Used to work at BTP when Crowther was in charge. Without a shadow of doubt one of the worst organizations I have ever come across. Internal theft was a major issue with new IT equipment just vanishing. Casual jokes about moslems regularly, Data management was so atrocious and I would nt be suprised if more arrestees did nt sue BTP for making their details public. Crowther was up in front of the Home Affairs Select committee on the matter, but he just lied. He got pushed out after The Manchester Arena fatalaties. He still got an OBE. Just an awful untrustworthy organisation. The TOCs are just wasting their money with these clowns.

    Perhaps a bit cart-before-horse, but having just passed my Insp's board, I'm going to start reading leadership materials again, and I've just ordered this to start. Thanks Steve. Previously read/listened to The Chimp Paradox, Start With Why, and Why Leaders Eat Last - but found Simon Sinek's work rather repetitive and unrelatable. Maybe I'll have another stab at it.

      Congratulations on your promotion! Yes, there are endless choices on reading material spanning thousands of years to support your CPD; this one is certainly a good choice. If something doesn't resonate, then by all means choose another. Maybe consider 'Turn the ship around' for more practical approaches, or even Marcus Aurelius 'Meditations' for timeless philosophical perspectives and pearls of wisdom for managing relationships (we are emotionally aware, after all!). Whatever you choose, it will serve you well both in your current role and when seeking promotion so not cart-before-horse at all; hence why I describe as 'all leaders read'.
