We start off clinical one day a week this summer then build up to two, three, four a week as we transition from didactic. So my first rotation I have a goal to get down induction flow and a thorough patient interview! Second goal is to have my patients and preceptor trust me. I never worked in an OR setting. So, other than shadowing, I’m a bit naive in OR etiquette and vibes. Do you have a spiel on that?

Hell yeah to normalizing pulling out a resource when you need it. Also your nails are fire.

Nice job! Sleep Apnea, bleeding problems and any transfusions in the past are other question to ask . Also you can always end with “Is there anything else in your medical history that I haven’t asked about that you would like to mention?” .
