I think they should use Rubber ones, I know its millitary and they aren't shooting airsoft guns but for fks sake, in these sittuations they should use non-lethal rounds/ammunition

They use blanks now. the do not fire live bullets in this training but this training is still a part of marine basic training . And that scene was in fact based off something that happened for real in the marines. Actually happened at that base too.

@@KooderMcScooter they originally moved the guns up 14 ft from the pit. then switched to blanks at some point. The irony is a blank can still kill someone, unless they have blank caps on the end, which they probably do. (the small brass cap comes off the blank either way and is a projectile. They might use sim munitions now, that would be cool. get shot by a sim-munition to get the point across, but it would keep people from dying. That said they aren't' as loud as actual bullets, nor give you the same effect. I think live rounds are still used in some cases but since they are 14ft above the pit it's impossible to get shot. the guns are fixed so they can't depress below the 14ft line either. basically you crawl under machine gunners that are training at the 300yard range.

Never say training ground it was: Afghanistan is considered the graveyard of great empires and I know that it's a broader question to ask the reasons for this notoriety, but what is the geographical importance of Afghanistan?
