My first attempt at trying to recreate the incredible Dan Carter conversion from 2007 Highlanders vs Crusaders. A few half decent attempts but overall not great. A game me and my mates used to play back when we were in school. Simple rules, pick 3 kicks to work your way down the field, after the 3 kicks you need to hit a field goal. Can the ball your using effect you kicking game
definitely, balls can be different shapes/sizes which will affect where the sweet spot is on the ball and can change your point of contact with the ball

hey bro, what kind of recording equipment do you use. Things like microphone, camera etc. cheers
the camera behind me is just my phone on a tripod, the camera behind the posts is a go pro, for the mic i use these saramonic mics, they plug into my phone so the audio is a bit better. they aren’t incredible but get the job done

@@PeytonWest-g4x everyones different mate, it all depends on your run-up and how you follow through on your kicks. The only thing you can do is try different things and see what works and what doesnt.

Hey mate is there much difference with a league ball to a union ball in terms of kicking
A union ball is slightly rounder than a league ball. That's why you see a lot of union kickers standing the ball more upright when kicking, as the sweet spot is closer to the middle of the ball rather than the point.

You must follow trugh
no you don't need to follow through on goal kicks, the follow through is purely there so your momentum doesnt come to a complete stop, but if your technique requires less momentum then theres no need to follow through

Hey I have been kicking conversions as a hobby and I don’t know what tee to buy, between the Prince and the elite 75, you said the prince is best for beginners but i feel like with the elite being lower i’d be better due to my soccer background.
Same here i have the taller prince.takes a while to get the hang its good but ive never tried tbe elite 75
40 metres was my limit for distance when I played club rugby as a backup goal kicker. I used to practice almost exactly same way
