I know that this problem is occurring for a lot of people on Cod BO3 due to their Graphics drivers crashing and this method definitely worked for me so I thought I would share it. This in theory would for any other game with an error like this as it is not specifically for CoD. Left me know in comments if this works and please leave a like or sub if this does indeed work.

I had tried complete graphic card driver purge and re-install. Reinstall of the game, and verifying files etc... Nothing was working but this this was the magic. Thank you. I hope the internet karma points are adding up for you! Now back to killing some zombies much thanks!

Video is unclear and messy. Do this: 1. Search and open Registry Editor. 2. Go to 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet_sum_number\Control\GraphicsDrivers' 3. Create a new QWORD 64 bit key (32 bit if your system is 32bit) with value 'TdrDelay' 4. Right click the new key and set it's value to 8. 5. Restart your PC 6. Optional - if your game still doesn't work, set the value to even higher, like 10. Then step 5.

Hey this is a message to everyone who this trick didn't work for. I want to let everyone know that in my case, the cause of the game black screening was that I had too many audio drivers active at the same time. To disable audio drivers go to control panel and click hardware and sound, then go to device manager, expand the sound video and game controllers option, disable a few audio drivers that you don't use. I ended up being able to use 16 audio drivers at the same time, but if turn on even one more I get the black screen again. I found this solution from a guy on the steam bo3 discussion pages.
I have 1 audio driver on and my game still crazhes
@@hero-ri8sg Other than trying to delete the whole bo3 folder and reinstall the game im not sure what to do. Maybe check video driver settings in nvidia or amd.

In theory it should work with most games, as it’s not CoD specific
TdrDelay was already there but the value was set to 20 about to see if it’s fixed

Ty, I found the fix. It was Bitdefender’s “advanced threat protection” that I had to disable.
