@@EverythingSportswithMitchell Christian Braun was the #22 pick in the 2022 nba draft and Peyton Watson was pick #30 the same offseason the Nuggets traded for KCP and signed Bruce Brown they helped win a championship🏆 however CB and PWat were always the long term plan in Denver👍

@@phillipowens3612 It will be interesting to see how Braun improves as a 3 point shooter would like to see him become comfortable shooting more 3’s he already is a pretty good defender. I think his 3 point shooting improvement will be key to how far the Nuggets go next season

@@Mystra I think it almost became cool and a joke to hate on AD’s injuries that people forgot how good of a player and just labeled him injury prone. Last year he played 76 games and people didn’t even notice it seems like. It is all about narratives when it comes to this stuff and the media will pick and choose

Bulls have been making some bad moves lately but I actually think the guy they drafted, Matas has a chance of being one of the better players in this draft, I don’t think he will be a star but a solid role player. I think Bronny is 2-3 years away from seeing the court consistently. I think Bronny getting too much unwarranted hate people are acting like he was a first round pick, he was one of last picks in the draft and will have to prove himself to see the court

Imagine you just got hired for a job you know you at this stage are unqualified to do. You got it only because your relative pulls the strings in this company. And it is public knowledge. I am sure you would be 'loved' by your co-workers. And nobody would talk about it behind your back... This is the situation LeBron put Bronny in. Bronny is an undersized guard with average at best college career and questionable health. And LeBron decided to put him in the spotlight.

@@Sanderusit’s happen a lot on the Lakers the whole front office is family and friends. It’s not just the Lakers though a lot of sports franchises whole front offices consistent of family. It’s just part of life who you know will help you get opportunities

I think the Lakers window of opportunity with Bron closed in 2023. Which does make it tough for JJ. JJ just needs to show he can do the simple things that Ham couldn’t like put together good rotations and adjust in game. If Lakers are all in on JJ I think they have to be patient it’s probably going to be a learning curve as he goes and firing after 2 years will just repeat the cycle. I don’t expect the Lakers to be any close to a championship run unless they pull off some wild trade.

Ham was super stubborn. JJ seems more open minded and would be willing to adjust to what works. I think he will be better than Ham that’s not hard though lol

I agree West is so much better than the East. I remember when Lebron was going on his run in the East I thought it was bad but at least those Pacers, Hawks, and Raptors teams would make it somewhat interesting. This year no team stepped up to make it interesting vs the Celtics.

The west is clearly not that good, how did they let Mavs just run through them?!? 😂😂😂 while Celtics cooked the Mavs so bad!! Did you know Mavs lost to every top team in the East?! I think their record was like 1-11 😂😂😮😮😮. Like I said Pacers would’ve smoked the Mavs and so would the healthy Cavs!

@@cvgodd1432 key word healthy all those East teams are good and could probably compete with some West teams when healthy but all of them were injured this playoffs which made it a less competitive pathway to the chip for Celtics. The West was way more competitive with Nugget, Twolves, OKC, and Dallas all healthy. Celtics probably beat all those teams anyways they were clearly the best team. But there was definitely a difference in how competitive the series were when you were watching the Western conference games vs the East where all the stars in East for each team were injured especially when playing the Celtics, which usually makes their teams weaker

I don’t think it would happen but this is probably the series where it has made the most sense since then, for Luka to have a chance he needs to not even care about trying to get his teammates involved and just look to score every time

@@EverythingSportswithMitchell he got blown by 13 times in game 2. That’s more than anybody in the last 10 post seasons. Offensive generation means nothing if you can’t stop a sloth from getting by you. He is a LIABILITY on defense and is the reason the Celtics can shoot 28% from three and still stomp them.

@@IM-hx7jt there is a good chance by the end of the series luka will be leaps ahead of any individual player performance in the finals. He is no defensive star, but he is at least a competent defender, far from being a liability.

Yea I haven’t heard one person say they want Celtics to win. They have had an easy route but I still gotta respect them they are a very good team, I think this series will probably be very back and forth close down to the wire games

@@shepheardsounds3342 I wasn’t hating on the Mavs lol I was emphasizing how good Luka and Kyrie were not just scoring but playmaking getting the bigs involved as well and I’m well aware of how good Maxi Kleber is for the Mavs was huge in Clipper series in spacing the floor and knocking down big 3s and playing drop has been so hard to watch for me that’s why I think Gobert has been unplayable the way Luka can manipulate defenses is the best in the league even when they blitz he made them pay

I think him having 4 DPOY definitely hurts how we think about him. I think he has become unplayable in this series, this matchup is just not good for him. From a little bit of a bias perspective I would take AD over him on defense I have watched most of AD’s games and never have seen a team hunt him in the pick and roll like they have done to Gobert. Gobert just isn’t as versatile of a defender. He’s a good rim protector but in this series he’s just getting abused in the paint by the whole Dallas team

@@EverythingSportswithMitchell We are at the stage, when we are actively looking for someone to give this award to, so perhaps take another route - sometimes done in competitions, not only sports competition: not give this award at all with official justification that the league did not find anywone deserving. AD is a good defender, howver his problem is largely beyond his control - his health. He will avoid physical contact if only he can, cannot blame him with his injury history. But at the same time Gobert is also not a physical player. Draymond Green is but Draymond should not be in this league anymore if you ask me. He is a ticking time bomb.

With the refs I don’t understand how Ant got a T for not saying anything in game 1 just staring at Reggie and then Mike Malone and Jamal were practically asking for a tech and got nothing in game 2 and Murray stares down like Ant does every bucket and gets nothing just made no sense to me as a neutral fan

@EverythingSportswithMitchell Murray should have been booted from a game they were going to lose anyway, yes. Ant shouldn't have gotten the tech in a game they were going to win anyway. Those calls wouldn't have changed anything imo. Before last night wolves were up 2-1 even with denver shooting more free throws. Jokic def don't get "every call" lol he shot 6 free throws last night. I thought wolves wanted physical play? They don't seem to want the smoke when denvers brings it. Wolves can't have it both ways.
