How many millimeters are the compressor wheel and turbine wheel of this K27?
would love to see a video showing how to program the gauges. I have a boost gauge I have no idea how to program and can't find the book that came with it. or post the instructions on the website would be great! thanks!
The crazy part about this is the only difference in the billet wheel is the fact it's billet maybe thinner blades but they are not extended tip desighn and really the best part is the turbine, you can basically get a better turbo by buying a $55-100 billet extended tip comp wheel depending where you get it, $200 for a bolt on 67/76 turbine and housing and have a slightly improved version of this turbo from your stock one, over this turbo for basically a fraction the cost. The history wear will be the shaft over the housing so replacing the bearings, seals, and turbine will make your turbo basically as id it was new. If your going to offer a billet turbo you should atleast offer the most up-to-date desighn the narrow hub is hug because, though not much area is gained, this added area speeds up airflow at that 14mm radious area of the induced, just worth noting for those that have basic hand skills is all.

I'm just about to put these in my manual 96, and I'm curious if, or what, overlap there is between tight 3k and loose 4k? Second question, is there overlap between tight stock springs and loose 3k springs? Last question... How many clicks are too many? (6 or 7?) Obviously the more clicks, the less spring travel you'll have, but there must be an acceptable range. Thanks for the great videos and great aftermarket parts!

What mods do should i run with this turbo on my 215 horse ppump 12 valve?
I have this turbo on my 94, 160 pump. Im running pdd 024 DVs . pdd 5x.016 nozzles, 4k govs, zero plate and boost elbow I can hit 43 psi regularly but have see. 48 a few times.. 25* timing and I wanna take it back to 20-22. and it's flippin fun. it does tow a little hot and that's why I wanna change my timing but the egts are manageable in 3rd, I have an auto. with afc tuning it's a pretty quick turbo to light, around town it can be a bit laggy but on the hwy or freeway it's awesome. my freeway on ramp from 35-75mph is less than half the time it was at stock power Im literally at freeway speed at half of the ramp. better injectors would help eggs too like the power jets or ddps. email power driven diesel with your questions, I did. and I bought the exact parts they told me to and I'm definitely satisfied, with more tuning on my part I could be even happier. there are a few small pump mods I haven't done yet...
looks like I'll be the first guy doing a review on it. Can't find one single good video on RUclips using that turbo. I'll do a sound review too ,5 inch straight pipe. Before and after stock hx35, and then aggressor 64 without a tune, and when I get quad zilla, I'll do it with the tune.

Hey. So I followed your video pretty much to the T and my cummins seems to idle a bit too high. I tried to set the idle lower with the idle adjustment but it will not start. It idles around 850-900RPM warm. Is there any way to get this lower?

What springs did you use? What company did you go with? Some of the cheaper ones arent machined to the exact specs of the factory ones, if you have factory injectors put a bigger injector in itll help drop the idle a bit
Did you adjust it to one or 2 clicks?
I've already upgraded my injectors to 5x.014 and pop tested them and got 191 del. valves and 3/4K gov springs ordered. Still thinking about AFC Live, but have to collect financing first.

I'm only just starting to build my engine and have noticed there is a kind of thin coolant passage between the bottom of the screw in core plugs and the exhaust outlets of the head. Anyone know how hot it might be getting there typically? The operating temperature for loctite 545 is up to 150.0 °C (300.0 °F) is that working temp high enough or should I be looking for another sealant?

My truck is ready to camp. Except for the Compound turbo kit I ordered and paid in full during the Thanksgiving sale in 2022. Still waiting to receive it. And yes my EGT's are still high when I tow. I am Tired of waiting. If I burn my valves I will expect serious discounts on replacement pats. Come on guys it is time to get these compound turbo kits out the door. Tod, Will, are you aware of the massive delay on this kit.
is the 4000 rpm make power up there? it could rev there but is it useable or are you just going to piss the EPA off for no reason and just make it run hot? legit question, not nit picking.
No 4000 rpm is not useable nor will that be your peak power level. The main reason you do 4000 instead of say a 3500 setup is because the pump starts defueling 500 rpm or so before the max rpm. Highest you’ll probably actually rev usably is around 3200-3500.
Mine fuels super hard to about 4200rpm. I’m not running stock fuel or turbo by any means though.

DV's add power regardless of injector size. Generally the biggest DV's are paired with the biggest injectors simply because the end user is looking for maximum fueling. In testing, mild DV like 055 with stock injectors work great. Aggressive DV like 7mm with stock injectors still works great but a cleaner burn would be a mild DV like 055 mixed with a mild injector like 5x012.
Anybody that puts "patriot" in a product name then proceeds to garnish it with a flag... an eagle... It screams cash grab. My pillow guy level marketing... I'll stick with ARP.
We aren't part of the marketing team at OptiTorque, but our guess is the Patriot line of studs were not created to compete with ARP since they are not in the same price category, but rather, they offer an American Made "cheap" stud to compete with all the new imported studs popping up all over Amazon and Ebay: brand X, brand S, etc.
Where is this installed? I have the old Prime loc system on a '96.
I did a stupid and broke one stud that holds the springs, drilled it threaded the hole drilled out the broken stud and threaded it also works fine, so far. Did it all with injector pump still on motor

Is it alright to reuse your stock retainers and keepers on a 24 valve 6.7 when installing the 4.5K's?
Yes, no problem reusing the factory retainers and locks on 24v 4.5k setup.

Yes, a 625 is much better fastener but at nearly 4x the price, they should be. Patriot series studs are targeted at the lower cost entry level head stud market.
Loved my extra hp I got from your 7mm valves then #1 delivery valve failed and destroyed my injection pump thank you pdd will be contacting your customer service and seeing what can be done

12valve does when put into gear. Possibly too much tension on the Governor spring? Any tips?
Shimming the largest outer idle spring taller so that overall preload on the inner springs is reduced will create a stronger idle. Idle spring shims from Bosch are available for purchase from us.
@@powerdrivenproducts7835 idle was strong maybe too strong cause I made no difference if it was at 800 or 1200 rpm. It still would die after putting it in gear. It’s been five months ago so I forget exactly what it was but the governor springs ended up being too tight or too loose.
