I think they could work good for hip-hop, but it depends what kind of sound do you like. I love big, dark and thin cymbals... Some people might want some smaller and brighter hi hats for hip hop...

Yes. When I was making this song I was experimenting with strange and small phrase combinations. In main part there is 5 3 5 4 3 part, counting with TAKADIMI is easier than with numbers.
