Welcome to our reflection for the Fourth Sunday of Advent, Year C.
“The moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy”
As the Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord, God who became man and dwelt among others draws near, the Gospel of this Fourth Sunday, year C, shows the central role of Mary His mother, not only in giving Him the flesh, but also in fulfilling the purpose on earth.
Today’s Gospel highlights a profound moment of joy and divine encounter as Mary visits Elizabeth. Upon hearing Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's child, John the Baptist, leaps in her womb a testimony to the presence of the Messiah.
