Simple mod that can save you a lot of money
Does it work ? Just two washers is enough to not break the gear box ? I’m really anxious about this street twin problem 😢😢
Never try it. Thanks God! 🙂 But some reviews say it really works.
Nice! going to try it out. Do you have recomendations for engine protectors/sliders? I've read that sliders actually f*ks the engine
@@lrdass i have sw engine protection. That's all.
Fantastic video. Thanks for getting to the point with no waffle. Another youtuber took 10 minutes to show this in less detail!
Thanks for your comment! 👍

Thanks for your comment! 👍
Great but you need to remove the seat every time lol
Yes, but you don't need to buy another helmet lock and don't need to carry an extra key for it. Also it's a 30 sec. job.
How well does the horn stand the heat from the exhaust gasket? My concern is that if it does not melt, it is probably going to be quite fragile after being exposed to numerous heating cycles
So far so good.👍 It is far enough to avoid heat
From what I remember, with the EU spec mufflers you can't remove the dB killers, which makes a big difference. I listened to numerous RUclips videos with different Street Twin exhausts, and if you're on a budget, one of the best is doing a cat delete, but keeping the stock mufflers. Sounds as good as the restricted V&H mufflers. This is my '18 ST (so Euro-4) with the V&H mufflers, dB killers removed, and a TEC cat delete. I think it now sounds like a proper British parallel twin! ruclips.net/video/aj4uSf-00TM/видео.html
near the hook, just below it you can also put a 6mm bolt with a nut and use that as a helmet hanger, or install it on the other side.
Thanks for the info! 👌
Do you install as a pair?
No. Just one horn.
@@StreetTwinBonnie thank you
Fantastic! Thanks
Thanks! 😉👍
👍🏽😃
👌
From experience, don’t let the lever touch the gearbox on the up shift. This causes to computer to detect a problem in shift completion and turns on the MIL light.
Thanks for the info! 👍
GREAT IDEA!
I feel like an idiot
So do i, until i discover it! 🙂
Just use a break away spring loaded lever!😉
👍
What is this break away spring loaded lever? Have you an link to buy one for the st900?
nice video. Where can you buy the ones from MotoTrio?
Thanks! Bought here: www.omegaracer.com/parts_store/prod_5491499-mototrio-side-covers-triumph-street-twin/
Muito bom!
Obrigado! 😉
The sound is not different enough to come up to the V & A price point when compared with the stock system. I have a Street Twin which has one of the best factory stock sounds I have ever heard.
Thanks for your thoughts. The vid sound is not very accurate because it was made with the phone. V&H sound is deeper and louder than the stock one.
Yes I’ve heard the sound in reality is deeper as well as growl
x-pipe first :-)
Can you pull the bafflers out of stock exhaust? Sounds like that's the difference in the V&H brand. Maybe less packing inside. Sounds good though. Thanks.
Can't pull the bafflers out easily. Seen some vids here people unweld them...
Hi nice video. What spacers did you use? Thank you
Thanks! 😉 I use the Ducatispacers.com kit
@@StreetTwinBonnie Ok thank you, I will look for them in Italy then.
Every day's a learning day... Thanks!
For sure! 😉
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing
Thanks a lot!
I like your slotted side covers! What brand are they, please?
Thanks! They are from mototrio.com
Depending on the size of your foot/boot, and where you rest your foot on the peg, you could also use the opportunity to adjust the shift lever up or down by sliding it on to the teeth of the shaft a few notches up or down so you get a more comfortable fit- not having to “reach” as far up or down, or shift your foot back on the peg to get the toe of your boot under the shift lever to shift up, but you’re going to want to experiment with that before you use the loc-tite! I also wish there were a gear shift lever with a folding gear shift tip to avoid making this mod necessary. I haven’t looked into it too closely, but maybe there’s a sealed set of ball bearings sized to do the same thing? Or maybe engine guards or sliders (there’s a lot of choices) could also provide more protection if you don’t mind how they look... and the cost & weight… Thanks for the video- good idea! I’m going to check out your channel to see if you have any other related videos!
how it will protect the box ?
The selector shaft won't have enough space to move in to the gear box zone
@@StreetTwinBonnie ok, tks
