Police haven’t figured out yet how to properly administer law . But their learning. I don’t think we should add to that , untill we’re back into the law and ORDER first . In other countries it takes 5 years to become a cop . That sounds about right

the cop said he was not there on official business , so he was just an ordinary member of the public so the guard has every right to tell him to remove his gun . the guard should not have pulled his gun or prevented the cop from leaving . when the two other cops arrived they were there on official business so the guard had no reason to ask them to remove their guns . guard was way OTT by pulling his gun and not letting the cop leave .

Well it is unfortunate that this would be good if it worked in a great environment. Not in the ghetto and especially not in the ghetto were police presence or response is very limited. The gangs and wanna be thugs... do not care about your niceness or professionalism. They will laugh in your face and continue on. These steps are good on an average day with average people. I’m a new armed security guard and this scares me the most. I’m a martial artist so I know that someone who knows how easy it is to take my gun is so alarming. The fact this company didn’t embarrass him, but used it as awareness is so heart warming. I know the average person doesn’t do jujitsu. I even look at officers and size them on what they would if they had no gun. When they’re close to me. It’s in my martial nature to study my surroundings in any place. I really appreciate this. I’d love to work for them.

The way a person reads anything dictates the tone. Not the way it's written unless it has what is not tone but inflection and that is done through capitalization, italics, bold, and punctuation. Discernment is a valuable skill to possess. There needs to be a clear distinction between verbally addressing a situation and escalating to physical contact with a subject. Each situation is uniquely different and I'd like to see your perspective on how & when to engage with such a situation, especially when it turns into a combative engagement despite all efforts to avoid physical interventions.

Back in texas in 80s security officers could only have their weapons on to and from work.now we can carry it at all times I do t take mine off till I'm inside my house. Back in the 80s I had a dallas swat officers seing me with out my weapon fixing to enter a 7-11 ask where my weapon was. I told him locked in my vehicle. He told me I was not going in to the store unless I was holster . Law said I couldn't. He told me I don't give a f I don't want to go to a shooting where your car was stolen and your gun used in that shooting from that day forward I never took it off till I was inside my home.

I see a huge flaw in your training. You don't show cops what not to do, by showing examples of cops escalating situations with calm civilians asking why they are being stopped while driving or filming police. And then being attacked by cops for asking questions. Attempting to teach de-escalation techniques for cops who were thugs (their body language obviously reveals this) long before they became cops is like training to a leopard to stop eating gazelles. This is garbage training that would never work in a million years. Or they would teach it in every school and all school fights between students would all end. How about this? If a cop violates their de-escalation training, you should encourage the victims of police escalation to sue their de-escalation training companies. If your training actually worked. you would knock all of your competitors out of the market.
