Sometime having closure is recognizing the situation and come to the understanding that you are allowed to forgive yourself and those around you. I have dealt with people whom I hurt or hurt me over a bad situation. It takes a level of understanding and knowing oneself. Usually, it takes me a long or short time to realize who was in the wrong or comprehend the perspective of the said person. Especially knowing how to read the room or the energy or body language that person is feeling. I have issue that dealt with my parents on a lot of occasions. I always apologize to my parents for doing things they weren't please with. But there is moment where I know I'm not in the wrong and still apologize. I felt or more they felt that owe them happiness which is not the case. I came to realize I don't owe them anything and vice-verse. Not to say that my parents are not my parents I came to realize I didn't have a choice to come to a world where nothing and everything make sense. I think necessary I appreciate them, but I don't love the way they act or treat me as a son living with them and having them not no personal space, treating as child (even though I'm an adult, yes, they are Haitian too, so yeah). I still run into problem with them even if I don't want to argue it happens, sadly. I find this topic very interesting cause having closure in more like a neutral or a giant double-edged sword in context of forgiving someone that doesn't deserve forgiveness or separate from the you had issue with in the past and either you or that person reconnect positively or negatively and relive the same problems or work on making the relationship better. Or ignore it and just leave at.

It’s not that you connect your happiness to a certain object or thing. Its just when something that used to make you happy doesn’t anymore. It changes you. You start doubting yourself, your worth or beat yourself up cause it wasn’t worth it. Coming from someone who struggled with depression. You can’t just say come back, you can’t turn that shi off, even if you are aware of what’s causing the depression, once your depressed it’s a battle. And you gotta make the decision EVERY DAY to push through until you’re better. Some days you won’t have it in you other days it’s like “depressed?
