For those that can’t use coconut products, you can use babassu or palm kernel oil. Yes, HP method is easier.😊 ETA: You can also use Everclear if you can get your hands on it. It won’t smell of alcohol as much.

Every video I watch has the same huge measuring bowl/cube, whatever it’s called, but it’s not listed in the video. That’s the main thing I’m trying to find without success. What is it called and where did you get it

Love this soap! I also create my soap using heat transfer hot process. If you want to, you can also get a few tablespoon from your oil and mix your powders in that and pour it after the cook to make the batter a bit more liquid. I also noticed that continuing to hand mix after trace, well beyond when the natural glycerin appears and inducing volcanoe by hand mixing makes the batter more fluid in the end. It will easily cook as well.. In a few mins the batter will look transluscent sometimes less than 10-15mins the batter is liquidy and transluscent and adding more oil with the powders will make it more fluid for easier pouring. 😊

I wanted to ask at which point do you recommend to add the glycerin to liquid soap. I have encountered people adding it to the water before adding the Koh, others add it at trace, and others at the end when doing the dilution of the soap. would love to hear your thoughts about this is there a preferable stage to add the glycerin and why? many thanks!

Just wondering what colorants you used? I know one is activated charcoal, but I'm not sure about the other one? The soap looks great, btw! 😊

What temp did you soap at. I attempted this technique too but after a few hearts my batter got too thick. Believe I soaped to warm at 105. Mine was at 33% lye solution

You can get similar results with in the pot swirl and no waste your soap butter or stress to much about it. Love rhubarb. Used last week but the color was much deep that what I intented. First soap I made with rhubarb was pink and this was a remake and is very red almost burgundy color . Beautiful hearts!

Wow! I didn't know there was such a thing as a press. I thought you could only use silicone molds. I just starting reaearching bath melts for showering. The idea of vapor rub or eucalyptus essentials oils in the AM is great for opening up sinuses and relaxation also. Thank you for sharing your technique. God Bless you.

Litsea Cubeba essential oil smells like mango, especially in combination with orange essential oil.

Soap will volcano even if there is no external heat (crockpot)... it is from the chemical reaction of saponification... the change of the NaOH and oils into soap... it is possible to do huge batches of hot process soap if you can find a big enough pot... there is a video of someone making a 50 pound batch of hot process soap in a huge pot on youtube

What is the length wodth and height of that mold. I notice it looks small and you didnt fill it but skaps look very long? Please tell me. I need bigger molds.

I left a message under my other account, but I just wanted to leave it here so that all of my soap stuff is on my soapmaking page as well but anyways, as I said before, just make sure that when you do using glycerin in your liquid soap you dissolve The lye into the water portion first and then once it’s completely dissolved and gone clear, you can add in the glycerin into your life solution and it will not volcano
