@@schnitzer46 The Rules allow the 2 litre BDG! I assumed they were 1.6 BDA. They must be pushing 250/270hp, and weighing about 850/900kg, very good power to weight ratio. Your BMW sounds incredible, what sort of power and weight is she?
@@EugVR6 the BMW has about 350 hp and weighs 1350kg with me in it and some fuel… it’s a lot of fun keeping up with the Escorts !

Who was the first car to DNF - the one that lost oil or the one that lost gasoline? Absolutely bonkers that they didn't get the black flag.
Geez. That little Alfa knew exactly where to be to stop you passing, Once past, you knocked off the RX7 pretty quickly. Looking at the video, you couldn't believe this is an F1 track. It looks a bit like PI from 20 years ago.
Richard, The Alfa has a modern 4 valve 2 litre twin spark engine and was really well driven by a local guy… we had a great race. The circuit is way more technical than PI, there are multiple fast lines, and the 18 degree banking on 2 turns adds another complexity… Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it, I certainly did!

This car does not have a lot of grunt compared to the Escort #96 with a much smaller engine. Driver Bill Cutler adapted quickly to using slingshot out of the corners to keep up. It would be ironic if the Escort spun out on its own fuel that it had been pouring all over the track.
Thanks for your comments. This car has a little more power than the Escort but it weighs 400kg more - that is the real difference!!

Thanks Dirk. Unfortunately some wear in gearbox not possible to repair easily. I am used to it :)

Hello Florian, yes the 535 has three Weber 45 dcoe. Camshaft is CAT cams #725

Group A from 1987. Similar spec to '87 DTM.
@@schnitzer46 I see. Because I see the car wasn't give it a little bunch like the later version of Gr. A E30 M3 or the DTM E30 M3.... Can you think the engine of this car can be modified to give it a little more punch?
@@schnitzer46 Are the springs a long single unit or did you use a separate helper spring? Did you use original parts? I'm asking because I can't find helper springs specced nor in any images for 1987, only for 1988+. This goes for original period equipment, of course.
@@ArchOfficial Hi mate, yes I use helper springs, they have no poundage (rate) and compress to 16mm thick under load
@@schnitzer46 Thanks for the quick reply. Homologated helper springs were stiff, stiffer than most roadcar main-springs. However only for 1988+. In the order of 30-60N/mm. I suppose you're using aftermarket modern helper springs? The car will be very soft and compliant over bumps and in roll. Do you know what rate main-springs you're using?
