k please make more videos like this!!!!!!!!!!!!! HURRY
tg28hd??
looking good!
Would love to have one of these!! Hard to justify the cost for me tho unfortunately. If I did tree work all the time I’d have to have it
Interesting unit. $?
Around $35-39k for this unit. Give us a call if you're interested (802) 495-9460
get rid of the crapy sheer and add a bar saw with 24" cutting capacity and max lifting capacity of about 18"-20" depends on size of machine safely and make it a fixed head with 180° left and right rotation to cutup fallen trees with a skiddsteer and this attachment would be great.
The shear deserves some credit. It's definitely not crappy. In fact, it's main benefit is that it is incredibly durable and requires basically no maintenance. Saw bars wear out, chains dull and break. The shear keeps chugging.
@@willemsmith506 they maybe good for unbrush and dirty grounds but there limited to small cutting capacity before you start getting split ends ware a bar saw you get smooth cuts every time and can cut much bigger stuff by cutting on 2-3 sides of a tree or cut the much larger stuff with a chainsaw and leave a small stub to clean cut off later with the cutting head to be safer anyway.
Really interesting- great tool form cleaning out small understory trees. ( please nix the obnoxious music)
@@jeromyw385xp that's why this unit has a saw🤷♀️
@@willemsmith506 it has a cliper not a barsaw you dummy. that small top saw don't count and it's pointless anyway.
yes, thats a shear cutting.
Thumbs down just for the crappy music seems like everybody plays that same crappy music you must be part of the crappy music listening club how much a month does that cost
What is the maker of that machine and is there something special about that boom
same question
It's a Kubota 080 with the "Super Boom" option. I don't think they offer it anymore.
@@MrTreeman1979 It's a Kubota 080 with the "Super Boom" option. I don't think they offer it anymore.
I know nothing about forestey but that cutter seems to make sense for those sizes trees.
Very interesting video! Thk you. What size digger will operate the 230?? And what are the costs plse
What is the advantage of having both tools on this head?
Shear works great for small stuff, quick, problem free, no sharpening or chain related maintenance. Saves the saw for bigger stuff, where it works best. Saws tend to drop chain when cutting small trees. I find that I do 75% of the cuts with shear, so that saves alot on the saw. Shear doesn't add a lot to the cost of saw unit.
Beast!!
Kioti and bobcat are the same
hi. i have problem with collector they don't opening
How much are they
Give us a call at 802-373-2246, we can give you a rough estimate based on your machine
Nice 🤙🇦🇺
great combination
Dommage qu'il y ait pas de traduction en français, sûrement très intéressant.
Nice sharing
Do these saws have auto oilers? Or what is the maintenance schedule?
Sick
Way too much exposed, dangling hoses to use in the woods.
What size excavator are you using?
Looks to be an 080 kubota with a variable angle boom
@@jelinektreeservice Do you have one of these??
No, we have a Kubota u55-4. Really happy with it. We mainly use it for moving logs and feeding a brush chipper. It does ok pulling stumps but that 080 is a bigger machine and would do better at that kind of work.
It always amazes me that these things can hold huge limbs by the ends. Imagine trying to swing a sledge hammer by holding it with the tips of your fingers.
Wow, that’s slick! Will the Sany handle it?
Sany 3.5 run this?
Nice. Our snowmobile club here in Rutland County are still using personally owned chain saws, tractors, ATV’s, etc.
Well, if you guys ever use an excavator, give us a call, we've got a ton of modular products for all different size machines (802) 373-2246
Awesome rig ! A shear or grapple saw is still high on my list of toys to buy !
Great, we sell both. If the time comes for you to buy one, make sure to give us a call (802)-373 2246, we have experience with a couple of other brands and also offer a combi unit with a shear and saw for dangle and rigid setups. (See our channel!)
Very good video and explanation Nils! 👍
Death row new device
What tracks are those? They don't look like Mattracks. And how is the wench mounted? Does it get in the way of the bucket?
Having run every (color and Make) of mini excavator, I have to say the Komatsu PC78 with thumb is Top Notch!
What is the groom attachment you are using on the toolcat? Was it designed for the TC or did you customize it to work with it?
Most of this video was removing trees...not very informative tbh
How is the front winch attached?
You'll get your hand taken off there !!
Ingenioso 🖐️👍💯
💣💯👍Spettacolare
Man if ya put a barsaw on this cutting head you would have much better looking sawlogs and not have the butts splitting they would be clean and smooth cuts and make the head half as tall and able to run on a skiddsteer it would be much fast cutting of the trees and put into a pile to drag to a landing to process too.
It actually has a saw on it, it wasn't hooked up at this point. We have some other shears that we mount on skid steers. The beauty of shears are that they require no maintenance and are highly durable.
@@littlemuleequipment9032 sure sheers are nice for doing like groups of brush or dirty ground trees but for doing good quality logs without having split ends I'd rather have a bar saw. Do you make a smaller more compact unit with a bar saw on it for a skiddsteer with at least a 22"-24" cutting copasity in a single past to do like red pines and smaller oak trees and poplar maybe.
Really liked the tilt rotator attachment
What if the collector is opening too soon on the non electric model? Opens about half way of the shear opening
Hi Where do i get such buttons
Three years since you've made this video. Do you still like your tree shear? Any issues with the collector?
Absolutely. Still love my tree shear. Collector is still going strong!
Would love To know more about those tracks. I found some specialy design for the toolcat by mattrax but 20,000 $ usd is too much for me.
They are called American Truck Tracks
I wonder how that would work in warm climates / softer wetter wood.
Is the door off the driver's side?
2 door on a toolcat as it is a 2 seat vehicle.
@@stephaneboucher5108 yes I know that. Why would you be driving it with the drivers door off?
No idea ! Maybe he broke is window driving to fast. Happend To my friend because the window open forward. He was smoking. A branch got in the oppening (3 inch) apr and the window exploded. Cost him apr. 700 $
We prefer grooming without the driver's door because it is easier to get in and out of the vehicle.
Hey guys This video is great, I have just built a grapple saw here in the uk but wanted to know what sort of pressure, flow and rpm you were running yours at to achieve these great cutting results. Thanks.
I should give you guys a call about these shears. we have a kubota kx 080 with a Rototilt.
@Shea Smith I did.
Fgf
Are those 18 or 24” tracks on your machine?
