Language Butter
Добавлен 23 мар 2020
Hi guys! I play foreign characters in American theatre, film and television (imdb.me/hansobma). I have learned accents and languages in pretty straightforward ways, and I want to teach other people how they can do so, too.
Accents and languages are my bread and butter. When I book work, about half the time, I speak English with an accent. With very rare exceptions, I have learned these accents without a coach. The other half of the time, I speak other languages. Some of these I have learned on my own, too, although not all. I want to share my approach to learning languages, too!
A major principle for me is to develop mastery or ownership of an accent, meaning the accent remains with me for the long run.
Some of the most useful tools for me have been Pimsleur language courses (www.pimsleur.com), my Kindle, an audible account, Netflix, the works of David Alan Stern (learnaccent.com) and the works of Jerry Blunt (Stage Dialects, available on Amazon).
