@@WLCR_843 yes I do TURO full time, it's my lively hood. I started with 3 cars in Virginia back in March of 2022 then 2 months later my job took me to Detroit. I have been in the Detroit area since then. I'm currently from Charleston South Carolina. I was raised there since the age of seven years old. When I became an adult I joined the electrical union and started traveling and working throughout the United States. I broke my ankle very badly in 2020 and in 2022 I started doing TURO.

And the system I use for my Volkswagen is called Viper smart connect system. is able to locate lock and start and stop the engine, but it does not have a Killswitch that I know of. But you can still locate your car and it’s a system that’s hardwired into the vehicle so I can’t be easily removed. It’s definitely worth it, but it cost $35 a month to keep going. I initially bought the SQ5 to be on the platform but after having it, I feel like it won’t perform as well as a newer model so I just keep it as my personal

Mine is a 2014. I bought it just recently with 63,000 miles but also keep in mind. Some people may not put premium gas in it and it’s gonna be treated as a rental car so other things may happen to it. I just really have an emotional attachment to mine so I view it differently, but you probably don’t mind yours getting rented out lol

Yeah, I was really shocked how the host didn’t clean the car before my rental. I’ve been doing this for three years now, and I’ve always clean the car every time after each guest. I didn’t leave him a review because if I did, I would have really gone off.

I appreciate that that’s exactly why I make videos to help others learn and learn from others. If you’re going to buy any car, I would definitely make sure it’s bought out right with cash. That way you’re able to make more money back. Overall, the Tiguan has been great and it’s only been the shop two or three times with no major issues. I think you would do good in that area. I appreciate you subscribing that’s exactly why I make these videos to help others and to learn. It depends on if the guest damaged the vehicle or not. Usually, I just delete the photos and take them once I get a new trip. I always try to take at least 250 photos inside and 250 photos outside each time to ensure the coverage.

But you could also hold onto the photos if nothing changes in your vehicle just always take pictures of the miles before it goes out on the trip and the gas receipt but say you have a trip back to back and you noticed that there’s no new damage you can use the same photos, but don’t tell Turo I said that

@SlingShotKid007 I think I would probably get a used Tesla model S 14-17 so I can get unlimited supercharging and still take advantage of that tax credit

​@@WLCR_843 You won't get the tax credit for a used model S, any car over 25,000 does not qualify and anyone making over 75k doesn't qualify. New Tesla = 7,500 + state incentives (nj is $2,000). Plus they will give you up to 1,500 on installing a home charger. Also, the sales tax is reduced in half (I think) for the remainder of the year. Not sure what state you live in.

I would definitely say the busiest months are from March to October. At least for my vehicle and the Charleston market. I’ve been doing turf for about three years now that’s typically when I see the most revenue.

I keep all my pictures I recently take in a folder that way it’s easier to upload them. I have them categorize airport inside photos/airport outside photos of the car. And then whenever it’s not at the airport, I have it for the Home location.

I use active track and then had it follow me and then since the car was going faster, that’s how the drone spun around to keep up with it. It did turn out to be a really cool shot.

I know I could purchase a vehicle in my business credit but at the time I didn’t have that much business credit establish so I put it in my personal name. I thought about financing another vehicle, but I’d rather cash out on a car and not have to worry about financing, and for the insurance since it’s in my personal name, I just have it with my regular car through Liberty Mutual.
