They did Halle Bailey, and Rachel Zegler dirty with the hairstyles, makeup & especially the costumes! Ariel only gets one dress, and her hair is a really muted shade of ginger, why not incorporate different shades of ginger/red, what was that hideous headband, it should've been a ribbon/ turban! Snow White's outfit, hairstyle, and makeup are straight-up unflattering!

Why was Cinderella's Into The Woods Gold ball gown better designed than Live Action Belle's gold ball gown? I don't understand it!

As someone with chronic complex migraines, I definitely feel your pain. They can be so debilitating! Even with meds to help the pain, the other symptoms still prevent you from being able to function half of the time. I am glad that you were able to beat it in four days. Beautiful work! A note on sizing. It’s not that a pattern is converted into sizes, they just take the measurements and find the closest equivalent. They might have made an error. However, there are no actual standards in sizes in any country, it’s all completely arbitrary to every company/designer in patterns and all clothing brands, so always do a toile, but especially when using a new company/designer. So it might be that the standard this designer is using for themselves is smaller than the average that you’ve been using normally.

Lily james was literally born & fit for cinderella and the details on her gown with the magic & butterflies. The whole movie is just a beautiful fairytale ❤❤

Question: Do you put your build book together as you create the cosplay, or when you've completely finished?

Satin is a specific weave and so is crepeback I believe. It’s more about the look (shiny), while the quality of the fibers handles the feel. The fraying is its own mess that makes me believe it’s just generally poor quality. If the bridal satin isn’t working as usual, I’d especially stay away. Speaks to poor quality control at best and poor practices at worst. Sucks you lost all that crepeback satin money.

Those swatches seem so unprofessional. I like the amount but the fraying!!!! I consistently forget to order swatches and sometimes pay dearly for it

It turned out so pretty! After such a journey! I feel you on the velvet creeping, it's such a pain. I've always found a walking foot to be an absolute godsend when dealing with that, plus careful basting. Good luck with the rest of the build!

I’m adoring this. I was really worried with that first trim but the one you ended up with is perfect. And for future reference: You’re absolutely allowed to raise the neckline if you’re not comfortable or pull out something like a fichu. Might be a fun custom accessory for this!

It’s weird how the fit shifted when adding the velvet especially by that much when everything still sits right… but I’m so excited to see how this goes! All the sparkles sound so fun.

Even Cinderella's aqua cotton peasant dress in beautiful. Despite Cinderella not getting a new outfit, she makes up for it with different hairstyle and accessories. She used to wear her mother's sweet, flowy apron, then when she became a servant, she wore a darker, heavier, and stiffer work apron. Her hair went from having a variety of braids and hair clips to wearing a ragged cloth around her hair because it became messy. Her messy hair also gets a variety of styles. With Ariel, it's always the same thing with her dress. Doesn't her ending dress look like a bigger version of Ariel's daughter Melody's christening dress from the beginning of _The Little Mermaid II_ ? Weird choice.

Well it is live action, so it's already kind of hated. Mainly what irritates me is how they blend together 'asian' to get a weird mix of completely unique cultures to get this 'oriental' vibe.
