Some more improvisation at the piano, based on some of the same ideas as last time. I Thought this sounded nice.

Pachelbel - Canon and Gigue in D Major (A=415 Hz)
Просмотров 21 тыс.7 лет назад
Johann Pachelbel's Famous Canon in D Major with its much lesser known 2nd part, that being a gigue. The audio was transposed down a semitone to match what this piece would have sounded like in the baroque era of music when it was composed. (The original version can be found here: ruclips.net/video/NlprozGcs80/видео.html) Thanks for watching!

Superb! ❤
So happy I got to see the live video on RUclips. This is indeed a masterpiece! Strasbourg St. Denis...."it's a fun place." Rest well Roy Hargrove. You r missed sir❤❤😢.
"Strasbourg St Denis" is the nearest subway station when you wanna enjoy a gig in New Morning Jazz Club !
Must be Canon in "D flat" major
Hi Roy...❤
4:42 is my favorite part! 😁
This has somehow become my all time favourite jazz tune.
Came for the Roy Hargrove, stayed for the Gerald Clayton. That has to be the most insane piano solo I have ever heard. Palm muting? Are you kidding me? The dynamic with the band -starting soft, and by the end, it sounds like he's going to break the piano in half. Has to be my favorite of all time.
I love this performance
A work of artistic genius. Roy you are truly missed. Again masterful work by all those connected with this project.
전설의 피아노 연쥬
Playing this back at 0.75x speed 🔥
I should have downloaded the video before it disappeared🥲
I was thinking the same thing.
Pure artistry for the ears…thank you for leaving this one for us. You made history with one…
This is not a recording from the same night as the video. It's a lot less together than the video version.
I'm thinking of doing horn solo transcriptions. Do they exist already?
Was blessed to see Roy multiple times around the world n meet him at Smokehouse as he came home n to listen. One of my wedding dance songs Soul Train Style a Brother with my Singaporean wife on Sentosa. Will always hold the Brother n his music near n dear to my heart. Monterey was my fav show cuz they just killed it! Rest in Peace My Brother...the heir Miles who I saw in Pompei as a youngster...gone to soon...missing him but appreciating the legacy n catalogue he left for us to enjoy daily...
I was fortunate to share a bandstand with Mr. Hargrove once... What a wonderful moment in my life!
what was it like?
@@jazzfella13 it was overwhelming
what'd you play? The triangle?
@@madisonbuffett4679lmao!!!!!!!
I just wonder if the people sitting down before the concert knew they were about to be blessed to hear this live, in real time.
This song is literally perfect
I love the original too! They were having a ball! A cold conversation!
I am so inspired by this composition I have written lyrics and tuned my instrument to the rhythms of the storg being told, the conversation the emotions expressed! I dont think I feel
Love all the different versions of this

L intro on dira la kush😂 de lorenzo
Wonderful performance of a great piece, jazz at the top level, never fails to lift my spirits.
justin robinson solo was amazing ❤
This is quite possibly the sickest live performance besides Ryo Fukui's Mellow Dream... ever.
This was what got me into jazz 2 years ago. I’m re listening to it and it sounds even better.
Only in Paris, friends 😉
Someone has got to rap over this man
first music in a while to make me genuinely happy to be alive to have heard this
love it
415 hz ist viel entspannter. Was sie sich dabei gedacht haben, die Frequenz zu ändern!?! Ein Schelm, wer Bödes dabei vermutet..m
❤
Will never tire of this. Every musician at the top of their game
みんなブレイクして顔見合わせて笑ってるの最高だなぁ

THE DRUMMER IS KILLN IT!❤
아름답다
it's a great place!
I listen to this video with a sense of danger cuz I know there’s a very high chance of this song getting stuck in my head for days on end…. Sometimes you just gotta take that risk tho 🎵
My current girlfriend is listening to THIS!!!!!! 🎉
A perfect song for smashing the worlds shell and bringing about revolution.
4:29 "ne-ver meant to make your dau-ghter cry, I a-po-lo-gize a trillion times
"Strawberry Letter #23"
4:24 "The Message"
11:04 "Surrey With the Fringe On Top"
Im very sorry to hear that they deleted the original video. Rest in peace Roy, you will be always remembered.
Goes so well with Tartaria viewing when the screen is visual - words and pictures only. Need something a bit lighter than music sometimes provided. Case in point, excellent video on Antiquitech, is Blue Aether, by Marcia Ramalho, on Bit Shoot - most recent version updated last July 2023. Mind-blowing. Your hertz music is great accompaniment, thank you.
9:35 Segment by Charlie Parker. Absolutely nuts
