The book almost falling really got me

Happy Birthday handsome! 58 this year also! my latest film-book reading has included "Sleazoid Express" and from that (and watching the Andy Millgan box set) to reading "The Ghastly One", about Andy and his milieu. It's odd to feel nostalgic for a place I never saw (Times Square/ 42nd Street...aka The Deuce) at a time I would've been too young to appreciate. Hope this year has been a good one for you and that you've got many more to enjoy!

it is a really fun film! i wish Ralf Konig's comics (and several films) were more known amongst all communities...but his stuff (on amazon you can get it in Portuguese and Welsh!!) is rarely translated to English despite his huge popularity in Germany and across Europe. He's held in as much esteem as Tom of Finland it seems, although obviously it's very different looking work and is more comedy than erotica. I hope more people will attempt to hunt down this crazy movie, and thats its even available to them.

Curse you, Sean! lol! another film i really want to see... but finding it seems very unlikely! Every one of your recommendations has me looking for something, knowing it's going to mean taking a hit to the wallet...if only the titles could even be sourced!. it's bit like reading J.L Carrozzo's "S.F: The Japanese Science Fiction Film Encyclopedia" with each entry letting you know just how worth seeing a particular film is, and then most entries ending with the fact that the film hasn't been released on DVD/Blu-ray, was barely available to an English speaking audience on VHS and is now either lost to time or is being sat on by some corporation who are going to eventually/maybe release it and milk it for every dollar they can. i envy that you're in a position to see all these wonderful and wildly diverse movies, but boy is it ever frustrating!!

hi Sean! any hints as to where one can find a copy of "Dead"? have had no luck looking on amazon prime, Disney+ or Netflix nor on amazon cos i'd rather have a physical copy. it sounds right up my alley! as you know, type "dead" into any services search and you get about a million titles.

immediately added "Make A Wish" to my amazon cart. didn't seem to be available as "Psycho Lesbian", at least not through that site, which is an apt title ...cos sometimes it's good to have a product that does what it says on the cover! it's nice to have a film I can share with my lesbian mum! like me, she craves those rare entities...queer horror/sci-fiction/fantasy film thats are by and for us! you cuddling Sandwich at the start was double the cuteness! I'm not sure if you're going to (or can) include a section in "Gay of the Dead" about David Cronenberg, but i always count him "in" even if he's not necessarily considered queer per se. but he's gotta be one of the queerest straight dudes in film!! from his earliest shorts to elements of "Crash" and to just about all of "Naked Lunch" he goes places other film makers rarely go... and i figure as the writer director of "Socket", you definitely drew some inspiration there. Could be said though that there's already more than enough words written about Mr. Cronenberg.

you are one big sexy fun guy. i knew i wasn't alone in my appreciation and collection (mostly of film/series) of horror (although that extends a lot into fantasy/science fiction/cult stuff)- and have been slowly building up my queer collection of any "genre" themed and film making titles-and boy is it a small collection! so i'm gonna listen and watch you here and hopefully take on some of your recommendations (budget willing). part of that will be to break my reliance on amazon and to look at other sites for purchasing. didn't even know Cabin in the Woods, had a book (novelisation?) done of it, and i love that film.
