What do we know about God and His dealings with men? What do we know about Jesus? We know what is written in Holy Scripture and that is all we know and can know for now. Yes, a certain man was caught up to the third heaven-whether in the body or out of the body, etc. (1 Cor. 12:2-4). But that passage is not doctrinal and does not lay the groundwork for everyone to claim such an experience for themselves. Furthermore, to assume that it does, then lay claim to a similar experience, is truly to 'go beyond' what is written (1 Cor. 4:6). Moreover, it is spiritually dangerous because it opens a Pandora's box for all sorts of spiritual deception.
