It's a shame, I have seen many videos of him... And the odd person or so come and give him a bit of change while 20 or so look on in awe, but soon twaddle off, no payment of appreciation or anything. I'd break out a note for this fella if I had it on me, so it would keep funding what he does best.
+Forbidaxe I remember a few years back hearing him play in Chester, I listened to this song along with his Orange Suite, Then moved away to the nearest Cash Machine and bought Purple Electric Violin Concerto. So glad I got it :D
+Forbidaxe I'm an unemploy3ed drug addict just staying and listening from a distance to not give him false hope of money is enough, I was a street artist for a while in London, I was happy if people came to appreciate my work, I of course wanted people to buy but if they gave me no false hope and said how wonderful my work was that was also appreciated ! it also helped me get women, well I say that I didn't actually get one but I came a lot closer than I ever did before, !
nice sound, (that he didn't create), average playing skills, nie tune(that he didn't create), not really deserving of all this he is a genious stuff, his music(wich isn't his) is pleasant to listen to, but I wouldn't go any further,, you guys comparing him to the world greats should actually listen to some true world greats, no not some fashionable shite, im talking handel, Vivaldi and bach, no one is seriously gonna say this guy, is as good as them are thye, or at least I hope they are not !
mcpartridgeboy Please inform us where your playing next and what instrument you perform on to a vitrtuoso standard and we'll be there.Obviously your musicianship is to such a standard that spelling and grammar are superfluous
sarven10 Il be exhibiting in the Liverpool design festival its not until October though, ! the instrument I ply is the Nikon d2 with a 24-70mm lense ! I have 9 international honerable mentions or excellence rom the international photography awayrds new York and the px3 prix de la photographie paris ! my work is infinitely superior to this guys but I ail to see how that makes any difference to the statement I made, im assuming you agree he didn't make the sound and didn't make the song so im not sure why you asked me that !

You offered no creative comments, no "maybe it would be better if he tried it this way" or even that you liked his rendition of the song but that it was better when Guns N Roses played it. Your "photography" skills cannot be compared in anyway to the beautiful music Ed Johnson has been training his entire life to create. And no matter how good your work may be, until you change your attitude you will accomplish nothing. Especially if you are constantly comparing yourself to others. And trust me... I doubt people will ever stop to glance at your silly little polaroid pictures for a fraction of the time they do to stop and enjoy and love Ed Johnson's music. Creep.
Ed Alleynne-Johnson. I have his 'Purple Electric Violin Concerto' album. He is a legend. Played for years with my favourite band, New Model Army. Fantastic.
Saw this guy in York, he just stops you in your tracks. Listening to him made my partner pick up the violin again having not played it for 25yr!! Thanks for making the violin trendy. Keep it up.

Just great this guy should b on the world stage performing with other greats fusing music and being original, I'd love to see this guy working with the likes of Steve via or even Gary Numan and Prince, yes u heard me right people only great music could come from this. Just one last thing to say "fuck the so called music industry for allowing music to be a targeted commodity and squeezing out the real talents that progress music to another level, we are the music makers and we r the ones who dream the dreams !

Damn, this guy with steve vai would be fucking killer.
This guy should win some kind of award or something. He is one of a seemingly dying breed of truly talented musicians in the world. Not to mention that he created, basically from scratch, all of his own equipment. It is this kind of screw the mass market, I'm making an *insert crazy invention here* and you can't stop me attitude that we need. If we just start throwing ideas out, no matter how crazy, some of it is going to not only stick, but work and change the world because of it. He might not be some multi-millionaire, but Ed Alleyne is just as, if not more successful in his own right.

This the guy is on New Model Army's Vagabonds. I bought his first album Purple Violin Concerto years ago, he should/could have been really big but I guess he goes along with NMA ethos and prefers the street to the fame. The guy is a genius.
