One of the three 3 bedroom freestanding cabins at the Wilderness Club at Big Cedar, Bluegreen Vacation Club. 2 bedrooms downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, full kitchen, deck with grill. Very nice for the price. Been coming here since 2007. A dozen new three bedroom cabins are being built nearby that have their own hot tubs and covered decks. They probably wont be available until later next ye...

My dad's 200 year old violin, just rebuilt by Alvie Dooms, playing after being silent over 50 years. At McClurg, MO Monday Night Jam.
We had to sell our Bluegreen because my grandfather was hospitalized on 4 separate occasions due to congestive heart failure. Traveling for us has been very difficult. He was on so much medication to the point where he would go into a brain fog. We really enjoyed it while we could. The fog started happening back in February 2023.
So sorry. I didn't travel as a youngster, but enjoy it now. I like the Bluegreen places, they're all a bit different. I post these just in case people want to know what a unit looks like.

This is one of the new 3 br presidential cabins opened Spring 2022 at Wilderness Club at Big Cedar. I'm not affiliated with renting them out.

The three bedroom presidential cabins are new build units, much nicer than the older 3 bedroom cabins. I have videos of both. The presidentials are just below building 3000 complex.
The fiddle, from the 1800s, hadnt been played in over 60 years and had just been totally rebuilt by Alvie Dooms (Playing guitar on right).
Joe, any contact info you could share as far as where you go to rent this?

2 bedroom cabins at wilderness club similar, but don't have the loft or entryway area. There are 2 3 bedrooms like this at WCBC.
Where can I get the music To Ozark Moon? Shirley Humphreys
Transcriptions of this tune, and many others, are available in the Ozarks Fiddle Music book by Drew Beisswenger and Gordon McCann (pueblo. Mel Bay). The version of Ozark Moon in that collection was played by Cecil Moon.
It should have read Joseph Guarneri (early copy) fiddle.
David is playing my dad's 150 or more year old Joseph Tamari fiddle. It hadn't been played since the latest 1960. Alvie Dooms had just restored it, and this is the first time in my life I've heard it play. I'm sure my dad was smiling down on the performance. I can't thank Alvie or David enough. McClurg Jam is such a magical place that has helped put me back in touch with my parents, long gone.
