Birmingham City moved back into the EFL League One automatic promotion places with a comprehensive 2-0 victory at home to Bristol Rovers. Blues completely dominated the game especially in the first half, calving out numerous goal scoring opportunities and should have gone in 4-0 or 5-0 up at the break. It was clear that Blues took their foot off the gas in the second half and in the end it was ...

In the midst storm Darragh Birmingham City staged a comeback victory to beat Barnsley 2-1 at Oakwell. Playing conditions were difficult with strong gusty winds and rain throughout which resulted in quite a scrappy affair. Blues were not themse...

Thanks for the response guys (and yes, I love seeking out Matrix stuff, there's lots of material so relevant to our situation) - I just think that the atmosphere in home games will be so much better as and when we destroy an opposition team, it does get a bit quiet at times But tbh I'm not complaining... Happy Christmas from all in the Matrix !!😂
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your question as well and Happy Christmas to you and your family. KRO!
Biggest memory? My first away game was a draw at Arsenal in the FA Cup when Geoff Vowden scored with a header from outside the penalty area, followed by a win in the replay when Barry Bridges scored an overhead kick against. Two amazing games.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. That’s a great memory! KRO!
Like you say Gary, the game is in our own destiny, win our games and nobody can catch us, though the reality is we won't win them all, but neither will the other teams. It's ours to lose. KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. If we take care of our own performances then we will win these league.KRO!
Subscribed to your channel in September but RUclips hasn't been giving me notifications until recently 🙄. I appreciate the family friendly content. Wishing you both a wonderful Holiday Season!
Thank you very much for your comment Kelly which is greatly appreciated. Really pleased you enjoy the content of our podcasts and Merry Christmas to you and your family! KRO!
Stanno, Paik, Iwata, Cochrane Anderson When we got promoted at the final in Cardiff, I just could not believe we won and made it to the premiership, queued round St Andrews for hours to get my ticket, Honestly just could not believe we won! 🎉 Thanks for answering my question 🤣🤣 no more swear words! KRO!
Thank you very much for your comment Donna which is greatly appreciated. I remember queuing for hours to get tickets for loads of matches. The online method of getting tickets is much better! KRO!
I remember Geoff Vowden being the first substitute to score a hat-trick
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
I really enjoy your podcasts! Wishing both of you, and your families, a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you very much for your comment Kelly which is greatly appreciated. We are pleased that you enjoy our podcasts. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! KRO!
I'm not sure about Iwata in the Prem. He didnt pull up trees in the Scottish Prem. I'd love to be proved wrong as he's been immense for us. I actually think Bielik could cope with the Premier League. Note that all these players we've mentioned could be Prem league, but likely to be a team at the bottom end. That includes Stansfield for me at the moment. He doesn't possess the pace needed for the Prem, but he's still plenty of time to improve. Clara would worry me with his lack of pace, but he's been excellent so far, hardly lost a single aerial battle. We completely outplayed Fulham in the League cup, which was the only opportunity to see them tested properly. We are seeing these players against "3rd rate" footballers, so it is really hard to judge.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Happy Christmas! KRO!
Oh yeah and have a great crimbo....😊
You too Steve! KRO!
Same as Matts 5
Thank you very much for your comment Steve which is greatly appreciated. Happy Christmas! KRO!
Happy Christmas lads enjoy 🎉
Thank you very much for your comment Gazza which is greatly appreciated. Happy Christmas! KRO!
That Cisse quote should be put somewhere around the ground. I always tell my kids that Blues is family and that we should always look out for eachother
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. It really was s fantastic quote wasn’t it! KRO!
Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎉 I think if we beat Crawley we won’t look back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much for your comment John which is greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family also. KRO!
Trevor scoring 4 goals v Bolton . To be there was a privilege
Thank you very much for your comment Mark which is greatly appreciated. Wow, what a memory! KRO!
Hi Matt and Garry. I enjoyed your discussion as always and am so looking forward to tonight's match. Boxing days too. A cracking Christmas present for us would be for Blues to be top of the table. Thank you for all your great posts this year and I hope that you both have a Merry Christmas. KRO🎄🎅
Thank you very much for your comment Lisa which is greatly appreciated. It would be great if we could win and go top tonight. Merry Christmas to you and your family! KRO!
From Thailand wishing you and all your family a peaceful Christmas, thank you again all the work you put into your vblogs KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! KRO!
Cochrane, Paik, Iwata for sure, Klarers pace maybe an issue but he has everything else, i absolutely love that guy. Potentially Stansfield has a great future. Yokoyama, Donovan if they bulk up and work hard have a real chance skills wise. And i really think George Hall could of been a real player if not for his body letting him down.
I agree with that I think yokoyama coukd deffinately grow into that level of player
Thank you very much for your comment David which is greatly appreciated. Happy Christmas! KRO!
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
May I wish you both and your family a very happy Christmas and New Year and the great work you do with your vlogs. Keeps us housebound fans involved. Much appreciated. To all your viewer's a great time and peace. KRO. Sam.

I missed the cup final to but my dad and my little bro went I watched it on tv.
Thank you very much for your comment Stephen which is greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas! KRO!
Thanks for answering my question guys. I missed the Brugge away game in the Europa league which I've kicked myself for ever since! I agree with Matt's picks for the five players, absolutely love Willumson, think he's a real quality player. Back on top tonight hopefully, have a great Christmas and up the Blues! KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. The Bruges game is another game that is right up there as one I wish I had been at. Merry Christmas! KRO!

Great podcast both, Merry Christmas to you and family, hopefully a nice early Xmas gift tonight with a big win for Blues and a 1st place finish.
Thank you very much for your comment Liam which is greatly appreciated. Yes, three points to night and top of the league would be a great Christmas present! KRO!
Iwata Paik Cochrane Klara Willumsson. I think Stansfield will be ready in 1/3 years
How old is willumson? Does he have enough time to develop?
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
He is currently 26 years old. KRO!
Can you go through the new EFL spending rules that have been implemented in L1 and L2 from next season? Seems like the EFL really have it in for us. Clearly it’s a response to our huge net spend of about 4 million in the summer
Thank you very much for your comment Mason which is greatly appreciated. I saw the proposed changes which are a reaction to our spending and that of Ipswich when they were in League One a few seasons ago. We will look into the detail and do a podcast about this in the near future. KRO!

Loving the Q&A, the game i regret missing was our 1st home game in the Premiership 02/03 season v Blackburn i had been a season ticket holder in the Tilton for 10 years in 2000 we emigrated to Spain & don't get back to Birmingham much but always take in a game when we do get back Merry Christmas both KRO
Jordan James has started the last few and he's scored today. Like i said, it takes time to settle, especially in a new country with a new language. The young man is a very decent talent. KRO 💙
Thank you very much for the update Richard which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
@BCFCRoyalBlue gutted for George Hall as he was doing well, and yet again, he gets injured. I have a horrible feeling that he's going to be a player that spends so much time on the treatment table and getting back fit that he doesn't have the type of career his talent deserves because his body let's him down. On another note.... great to see Wycombe ang Wrexham dropping points as I commented on your Crawley video I hope they do and that Blues can take care of their business and pick up all 3 points that will take us top for Christmas 🎄 🎅 😁 KRO 💙
interesting comments about another CB, although I'm not so sure about Neumann - he plays left of a back three. I believe that we need someone at the back with pace. As much as I love Klara, he has been caught flat footed a couple of times. If you had the choice from all UK teams outside of the premier league, who would you go for ? KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Sone interesting points. I’ve always liked Michael Helik at Huddersfield. He’s a good Centre half and a real goal threat. KRO!
Dont want redmond back we are going forward not backwards he had his time and hes 30 and injury prone so no way should we have redmond he had his time blues are on the up plus i dont rate him
Thank you very much for your comment Steve which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
I don't know how we compare with the rest of league one when it comes to injuries we seem to struggle to field a settled side. If Wright and Hansson had had a run in the team I think that we would have scored a few more goals.
Thank you very much for your comment Frank which is greatly appreciated. I don’t think we have had a major problem with injuries this season so far. We have had a few but the depth of our squad means that it is less of a problem this season. KRO!
After the results this weekend this game for me becomes a must win - could really cement our place
Thank you very much for your comment Paul which is greatly appreciated. I think it was always a must win but now if we win we go top KRO!
Had to go watch that Scott Wright goal again! KRO!
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Same as me, I keep looking at that goal over and over! KRO!
On the subject of January transfers, I’d move out laird as well if we could find a better replacement, a player that flatters to deceive, looks good on the ball but defensively missing and not here at with assists or even crosses into the opposition box, we need two wing backs on the right as good bucannon and Cochran on the left.
Thank you very much for your comment Paul which is greatly appreciated. The January transfer window will be very interesting that is for sure. KRO!
Such a great podcast lads i really enjoy listening. If i see u at the Burton game i would love to buy u both a pint just to thankyou for such great content.Merry Christmas Matt and Gary have a great one 😁
Thank you very much for your comment Joel which is greatly appreciated. Thank you also for your kind comments about the podcast. We are really pleased you enjoy it. KRO!
I sometimes feel that the team has been told that it won't count as a goal unless there have been 40 passes in the build up. That said, if we keep winning 2-0 I won't complain.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. As you say, as long as we keep winning it didn’t really matter! KRO!
0-2 blues win Monday night, thanks you both for keeping us informed KRO,
Thank you very much for your comment Tommy which is greatly appreciated. No problem and Happy Christmas to you and your family. KRO!
For me, I would be saying for anyone in our squad. You are integral to us, you all have a stake to claim and the ability to push and support each other.Don’t think you aren’t appreciated, as long as you can bring me that bite and stand tall you are blues for me.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. It’s definitely a squad philosophy these days and as you say every member of the squad will have a big part to play throughout the season. KRO!
Great podcast as usual and thank you for answering my question. A big thank you for all the fabulous content throughout the season so far and have a great xmas guys
Thank you very much for your lovely comment and a Happy Christmas to you and your family as well. KRO!
I really like this podcast, think you are very fair to chris and the team. It will keep getting better
Thank you very much for your comment Rob which is greatly appreciated. KRO!
I think, to get Redmond, back, is a backward step, has anybody looked at the time the lad spends on the injury list, and i never thought he was that good when first had him. Same as Butland, decent keeper, nothing more, and tends to make big mistakes at critical points in games, ask England, ask Rangers. When we had no money in our club, which we didnt have for years, joke , laughing stock, we brought these players and more, JJ , Gray, thru our youth system, first chance of a big money move they all left, fair play, who wouldnt? But now, their careers havnt panned out the way they would like, and now, we have got a bit of financial clout, all of a sudden they want back. Not for me lads, the grass isnt always greener, they made their choices get on with it. Why give em a lifeline back.
Thank you very much for your comment Keith which is greatly appreciated. I tend to agree with what you are saying based upon where we are now and the type of players we want to attract. If any of the players you discuss above are considered I think it will only be short term contracts which does not seem to be the direction the club are now going in. We will have to wait and see but the January window should be interesting. KRO!
Leonard might be the one on the door asking for a transfer to get more mins :/
Thank you very much for. Your comment which is greatly appreciated. I’m sure we will see more of Marc Leonard. He would definitely want more football which I think he will get over the festive period and beyond. KRO!
Great POD again as always! the “product” in the words of Wagner is soooo good! It is so good infact that I will soon need to remortgage my house! KRO!
Thank you very much for your comment Donna which is greatly appreciated. Definitely a great product. Something we definitely couldn’t say last season! KRO!
Totally agree with Gary about keepers ,for me neither of them command their box ,for me you want your keeper to boss and grab crosses .
Thanks Tony, greatly appreciated mate. Have a great Christmas. KRO! :)
Thank you for reading my question out ! Great content as usual, lads . KRO.
No problem David, greatly appreciated the question mate. Have a great Christmas. KRO! :)
@BCFCRoyalBlue thanks, you too.
Totally agree about the GK situation, would like to see another option in that department. Just keeping one eye on the situation at Plymouth, could Rooney be sacked on the anniversary of his previous one? Just to say all the best for Christmas and the New Year Gents, and look forward to more in '25.
Thanks David, greatly appreciated mate. Have a great Christmas. KRO! :)
Rumour has it that Sanderson may be off to Plymouth on loan with Option to buy in January ... I think as You guys say it will possibly be just a Centre back to replace Sanderson either Buy or Loan Situation ... KRO
Interesting, thanks for sharing mate! Have a great Christmas, KRO! :)
Look forward to Sunday it must take up a lot of your time doing the videos
Thanks John! We love it. It is quite time consuming to run the channel but when you love the blues and love talking about football it’s certainly more pleasure than hard work. Appreciate the words though and have a great Christmas! KRO! :)
I know there’s banter about Americans and ‘soccer’ but as a brummie across the pond, if there’s one Americanism I’m glad Wagner brought with him it’s this sensationalism around sports. I’m so glad Birmingham city fc resembles the ‘tail gates’ and pre game parties I see over here all the time. Long may it continue! KRO
Thank you very much for your comment Michael which is greatly appreciated. Absolutely, I’m so pleased that Tom Wagner bought Birmingham City! KRO!
im hearing alfons sampsted might be going back to twente .. i also think we will go for butland in the summer
Thank you very much for your comment Daniel which is greatly appreciated. Interesting on both points! KRO!
Nah he’s not that good with his kicking.
In all fairness Sampsted who is a recognised right back is actually our 4th choice right back, so he wouldn't be much of a loss. A loan signing that hasn't really worked out. He's been OK when he's played and of course he's currently injured at present. I think it's fair to say and without wishing to be disrespectful, he hasn't been missed and he wouldn't be missed. I don't think Butland is the keeper that suits us. He's a great shot stopper but he's not good enough in the 'modern day mould' that goalkeepers are expected to be these days and he doesn't fit the Blues way of playing. KRO 💙
Busy time, a testing time our fingers crossed here in Thailand KRO
Have a Merry Christmas from Brum to Thailand. Thanks for your continued support snd engagement with the channel. KRO! :)
You're right about revenue, between me and my Son we've bought 3 shirts (£180), 2 hoodies (£130), Bath Robe (£40) plus whatever match day tickets we get (and refreshments on the day). So with attendances typically around 25k as well that's a fair amount coming in. Thanks to you both for the excellent videos this year. Have a Happy Christmas and KRO.
Thanks so much Steve, we really appreciate the comment and kind words! Have a great Christmas. KRO! :)
