A chubby normie in a bucket-hat lol he gets the guru he deserves 😆
Umm. Pot calling kettle black?
There is a key that you can use to find true spirituality. And that is: is this self serving, or for the service of others. Is the teacher a servant, or one seeking to be served? Light is selfless love. Dark is selfish self-service.
Okay, then what is the white people “way”? Odin! Return to tradition! Embrace the pine tree 🌲 Return to your roots! Embrace the faerie! Europa has deep and ancient rivers! Children of the Rhine! Come home white man… come home 🌲 the Gods are calling; harken to the sagas… the skáld… attune to the Edda
😂
Jeff Brown, the guru of the neurotic self. As someone who spent 10 years in a Buddhist group, where the Lama was recognized as abusing the students, there is a lot I recognise in the behaviours of BD. It is a problem when students start idolising teachers as it eventually ends up corrupting them, and it is always the same temptations they fall foul to: sex, power, greed and fame. I agree with a lot of what Jeff Brown says, unfortunately a lot of people fall prey to spiritual bypassing, thinking they can transcend all the messy psychological wounding - that we all have - by using spiritual practises. However, I think Jeff Brown falls into another trap, it is obvious reading his books that he has never had a full liberation experience, and so he tries to turn standard psychotherapy practises, and his own neurosis, into a spiritual path - with himself as the guru. Ram Dass is right, it is all about his neurosis. Jeff Brown has just swung to the opposite extreme of those that spiritually bypass. We need to to the work healing our wounds and neurosis using psychotherapy practices, but we also need to do the spiritual work where we go beyond these stories and realize that our true self was always there and never touched by any of this and it is not who we really are. We work on both planes of existence, the relative and the absolute. IFS is a far more powerful path for this because it incorporates both, it works with all the messy neurotic stuff but it helps a person ground more in the transpersonal Self so they can relate to their own wounded parts and help them heal instead of acting from them. It is great he had the awareness that he brought his own childhood dynamics and wounds to the relationship with Das, it is something that many Westerners do with these teachers, putting them on a pedestal, looking for the all powerful Father figure to love and approve of us and to give us all the answers. But it seems that Jeff Brown has no regular spiritual practise. Writing books and poetry about psychotherapy is not a spiritual path and he is deceiving those who follow him, but he is not aware of this as he is also deceiving himself, lost in his own delusion. Sure, hitting a cube with a baseball bat may be a healthy way in psychotherapy to help someone who has always repressed their angry parts to get in touch with them and allow them expression. However then we can eventually become more comfortable with anger and find healthy ways to allow the energy to arise, address it and express ourselves assertively. Jeff Brown has become addicted to acting out his anger, and there is something wrong if you are still needing to beat up a cube, swear and rage, many years later. It is a very crude way of allowing the energy to move. The inner child may be having a tantrum, but you would hope, as an adult who has gone through the process of therapy, and has a regular spiritual practise, that we can allow ourselves to feel that energy and then find an adult way to react if we need to. There are times when Jeff Brown is still blended with child parts having a tantrum, better to beat up a cube than another human being, but it is not a spiritual path. By all means, if you have an interest in psychotherapy, read Jeff Brown's books, he is very familiar with the terrain of neurosis, however he is still very blended with a part that feels like a victim of the past, of his upbringing etc, and is still often stuck in a victimized, angry, blaming mode (which is why he still needs to beat up the cube), instead of being able to access the transpersonal aspect. Do not read him thinking you will get any spiritual insights. There are actually enlightened masters out there who don't spiritually bypass, Mingyur Rinpoche, Thich Nhat Hanh, or Tsoknyi Rinpoche are legitimate spiritual masters, follow them for spiritual guidance. IFS is an incredible therapy for bringing together psychotherapy and spirituality.
Everything I have ever read from Jeff Brown gives me the impression of somebody that is the furthest from spiritual bypassing as can possibly be. He is constantly reassessing and self-reflecting his own flaws and past thoughts all for the sake of open, honest, rational learning. Now, I don't know if this was the case a decade ago, when this documentary was made, but if someone was to point out my foibles from a decade ago compared to how I am now, then there very well may be grounds for valid criticism. Also, suggesting the Dalai Lama and others because they are "enlightened" is absolutely the height of humor. Granted, I wouldn't have thought that fifteen years ago, but time and experience does wonders for wisdom.
@@starwarsunfiltered7848 Yes, now I think HHDL is verging on senility, however everything Jeff Brown has written recently reeks of victimhood, if you know the IFS model, he is still totally blended with his protector parts, and highly defensive towards anyone questioning him. He only self reflects and reasses on his own terms and is entirely lacking in humility, just another westerner with a spiritually bypassing fabricated ego self.
@@jacquedaw Maybe so, but this work isn't easy and Jeff had things happen to him that might be impossible to get over during one's lifetime. It is interesting to me that Thich Nhat Hanh said that if we beat up objects when we're angry we're training ourselves to do that when we get angry.
@@websurfer5772 I agree, there is no expectation for him to be more evolved than he is, it is just that he is writing books claiming that his way is a spiritual path, yet he is fully identified with his neurosis, he would be better doing IFS which works with parts that carry childhood maladaptive patterns and coping mechanisms, such as an angry part, and the part seeking the support of a Father, but it also incorporates the transpersonal healthy core Self, unfortunately he does not have this insight and he is misleading people about what spirituality is.
This from a guy who went full yogi, heh, heh.
What behavior of Bhagavan Das was he saying he needed to be self conscious about?
Sleeping with a LOT of younger women and doing drugs in excess.

I love this one! So cute! I love you! I fell in love with you just this week!
I love my cellulite!
He told me at age 46 he was... to do everything that you feel you are, full steam. I said would you tell a heroin addict this? Yes. If you want to do heroin do it full steam. Listen folks, don't listen to him. You are not your own God. Anything goes if you are. Wow silly people you will fall for anything.
Sorry this guy is creepy and disgusting and this child seems to see this too .
I agree with Ram Das.
creepy guy, Bhagavan Das. Its disturbing Deva Premal staring at Miten this way. The Guru is a Magician, and yet it is woman who holds all the power.
Don't know how anyone listens to this clown..
Wow is he judgemental...what a joker
Hrehu kalesh vikaar !! Siyawar Ramchandra ji ki jai !!
I disagree.
Aren't you doing the white person adopting another's way..you look pretty yogi esque
What he said is exactly True. Most of we Indians never do Yoga. Most of us are blindly following Westerners. There are very few people who still kept and Practicing and Transmitting Yogic practices in Pristine way.
So why is he dressed up playing guru singing Indian chants, if he’s saying be with your own path, your own culture? He doesn’t sound wise, he sounds like a salesman. I don’t hear his heart, just his mind.
Lot of negativity towards Bhagavan Das in these comments, the only arguments being his "dead eyes" and that a child says "I don't like him" at the beginning of this video. Does anyone have any real arguments here that he is not a kind person?
He is right to the extent that he is trying to break chains that we form when we follow some ideology or person...but the problem with America is that it had never any kind of spiritual progress in the past..America has no way of its own and if there was any , the whites killed all the red Indians who might have preserved those practices..Europeans wherever they have gone have brought destruction ..East is very different in that sense and Eastern practices of Hinduism and its offshoots like Buddhism , Sikhism , Jainism are rich repository of spiritual progress...Islam does have Sufism but unfortunately the ideas of Rabia have been lost and it has adopted a very rigid stance..In India , the rightist are doing Islamisation of Hinduism by adopting it's worst aspects and ignoring it's best practices ...Sanatan Dharma is not complete Hinduism. We have Kabir, Meera and schools of thought like Charvakas ...it's so different and so assimilative of most counter ideologies and that's the beauty and reason why it survived..
He is so desperate to appear wise and above it all, meanwhile Kermit Michael Riggs calls himself Bhagavan Das and lectures white people (of whom he speaks so contemptuously here) on someone else's religion. Utter nonsense. Christianity isn't just for one people. Islam isn't just for one people. Hinduism isn't just for one people. Buddhism isn't just for one people. This is gibberish.
His autobiography is weird. I bought it. drink drugs wives his ex wife kills herself w cocaine. his advice is weird here.
How do you see it in those difficult people? Riggs is asked. Riggs doesn't answer the question. He uses them as what not to be. He not only has no compassion for them, he displays their heads on stakes, and points to them on the London Bridge. "Take note of the horror," he says. "They" are showing you the nature of aggression, being clingy, and delusion. I wonder what would have happened if Helen Keller was presented to Riggs instead of Anne Sullivan.
If that's what you see, man, you have a hell of a polishing to do on your mirror. Yes, what you see in those difficult people is parts of yourself, parts of the shadow you haven't dealt with. Otherwise, they wouldn't be in your personal space-time continuum, or it would just be fine and you wouldn't be bothered at all, all the contrary : it would be the bright part of those difficult people that would show itself to you and all would be good. What Bhagavan Das explains, is that life is a mirror. You perceive and analyse the reality through your own eyes. This has been also explained by serious cognitive psychologist and behaviorists. This is the stem of all things. You just did to him what you are.
Bhag means 6. One with 6 qualities. And not ladies vagina as mentioned in the vedio.
Thank you for telling us. Google Translate says that 'bhag' in Hindi means 'part'. Does that sound right?
@@websurfer5772 bhaag- with 'aa' means Part. But the word here is Bhag with single 'a' that means 6.
@@SumiOccult I see. thanx.

Look folks the most hypocritical shallow and doltishly amusing humans on the planet are white/pink. Even this guy, enjoyable to a point but his claim to fame was helping Richard albert before he became ram dass. But he’s right, Americans are pathetic fakes. So to anybody truly in need of connecting to the spirit realm do this: walk into the forest alone sit by a tree and shut ur fkg mouth and mind for the day. If you can’t do that than a real spirit walk is not for you. A’ho
Darling Bhagavan Das actually walked away from the life he could live as a 25 year old golden guru. He was always transparent are you?
More fool the man who seem him as a Guru, he's a Bhakti, nothing more, his autobiography is astonishing and his life has been filled with Grace so he must have good merit, I see it often Men not being able to transit through the desire and lust got women, it's painful to witness but at least he ain't hiding it or pretending, I have much respect and admiration for this man, and I reckon Neem would to.. Jai ma..
This guy"bhagavan Das" is a psychopathic con man who preys upon the weak and needy,he,s just a childish old man riding on the drugged out confusion of the 60,s.This person is a narcissistic psychopath who wouldnt last a minute if he was treated as he treats others. He is an impediment to self knowledge as is as dependant on his slaves as they are to him.Man up and cast this egotistic loser aside! There is no path to Truth.
Yes you are right. I knew this guy, his ex wife committed suicide, he called her a fat ass, he is a sleeze bag and not a smart man. He exploited women to have sex with this paraplegic friend Jay who had a big house in Fairfax...due to insurance paying him for jumping out a window during an acid trip. So much more...but I never fell for this guy. I made him cry.

@Princess Consuela Bananahammock Wow thank you very much. This was unexpected. I'm glad to have this now. I appreciate it very much, thank you
I came here from dead island's Steam achievement list, and oh boy. What a fucked up video I got. This is like watching a mid 2000s jackass scene where they make a fool of themselves for entertainment. Only there is no punchline here. This guy is serious and delusional.
American culture is so spiritually bankrupt that people would rather be told a comforting lie than open their eyes to the harsh truth they are being lied to, let alone try to find out more about the true meaning of life is love.
Sexual predator should be put on a list
I love jumping into cold water.
Hello friends, dandavats. What's the music in the final of the clip? (The one that plays only a few seconds)
Everyone here please read Bhagavan Das's book and then watch the movie... Jeff Brown really got confused and lost his way here..
Hey Jeff, I know you had really good intentions with this movie, but you really missed the mark here Big-time we believe... He's not claiming to be your Guru and yeah,it's really easy to get caught in your head and twist things all around about it all, when u are really not spiritually evolved enough.. What you felt initially was pretty much the truth, that he has special spiritual energy. You obviously couldn't handle it and ended up getting stuck in this whole False projection of him. People just need to read his book and listen to his music to know the man... He has an amazing story and an amazing gift to give to the world and these kind of movies that stop people from receiving the Spiritual benefit are actually creating Bad Karma for the producers and those projecting their Mis-perception of him. Those of us who have lived in communities with him or near him for 20-plus years now that he's been nothing but a benefit to all of us and that he's never intentionally hurt anyone or crossed the line on anyone that any of us many many of his friends have heard about...we Definitely would have known, these were small tight-knit communities. Sure, he loves the divine feminine energy from the youngest newborn baby to the Elder grandmother he definitely worships the Divine in a good way and he is human he has children and has been married and yes he has partied and played the rock star roll especially in his earlier days. The man comes from his heart and Truth and lives from his soul... If anybody quiets their mind they can feel it. Doesn't mean he's anything better than anyone else and that he doesn't have normal human faults as well... The one thing he does have is a "Big Heart" and he works those beads daily and has a Strong spiritual practice and wants to liberate himself for the Benefit of others...
Bite your critical tongue poseur.
Was this film ever released?
yes but you can only buy or download from the karmageddon movie website.
It's available for FREE on YT now.
Hey thank you for introducing Ram Das to Maharaji and so grateful to your spirit. Some people in the comment section don't get it... that's ok. When you were telling peple to camp, be alone, cry, listen to the birds and watch the light change, is that what you experienced during all of your travels apprenticing for masters - all your stories about going from ashram to ashram... your experiences with different places, starving in some, parasites in others I think... but is that your experience. It appears you spent ungodly (or very godly) hours alone... is that true? You never really talk about you actual experiences in day to day life in that book you kind of skim over it... I guess you were pretty details. I just want more. Love those stories.

If you can get a copy of his autobiography "It's all here now, are you?" I highly recommend it. Whether you like him or dislike him, this autobiography is fascinating.
bad book. his wife leaves n kills herself.
Thumbs up
His book, "It's Here Now (Are You?)" is fascinating & worth reading. Ram Dass was naive when he wrote about Bhagawan Das in "Be Here Now." BD is an extraordinary person with an amazing capacity for hard tapasya -- but he's no guru. Too bad he ended up as just a skeazy old perv. But that's the usual fate (debasement & madness) of those on the Left Hand path.
