Four short clips from our 10 day trip this month. Third clip has particularly interesting configuration. First two from a Clifden pub, third from the lounge of our hotel in Ballyvaughan, last one from Bunratty Castle. Cell phone video didn't translate well to youtube.

Asleep at the Wheel...originated from my home state of WV :) Ray Benson is awesome!
Beautiful guitar and beautiful playing, Jim! You're an inspiration to me!
My friend had an old Magnette like that, and used that hand crank more than once! I loved that car, the wood dash was so classy, oh, and the positive ground battery! Exciting times when the negative ground car stereo make contact with the metal floor! My friend sold it to another friend who managed to kill it mechanically.
Thanks, I have owned many many British cars and this Magnette has been one of the most reliable. Comfortable too and even many other MG owners have never seen one in the flesh...
Nice riffs👍👍
Does the string spacing on a 1/4 bass match with the poles on the Krivo P.U.? I own a same size bass and I'm interested to try a Krivo. Thanks
hard to remember as it has been almost six years since I turned that rented 1/4 bass in and bought a 3/4 size Kay. Still using the same krivo on the Kay. As I recall, I got decent response across the strings on that 1/4 bass.
First person on RUclips I've found who sings while playing pedal steel!
Great cover music and singing Jim
Nice cover
Excellent work on that 1/4 upright bass. Keep the music playing bra'tha👌
Thanks for the upload Jim!
How do you go about tuning the pedals?
Lead Singer, Sax, Steel Guitar, Talent, Choo Choo da Boogie
Great music!
Awesome
good
Asleep At The Wheel also covered this song... You might want to compare the two
Work on the audio of the vid.
settle down champion
this was the same color and model from Doug I am now up to the Encore Love the tone of both!!
I love that big band swing sound. Your group is great. You play a great C13 steel too.
Ya baby keep on playin that rocknroll havent heard that one in a loooong time
My favorit music 🙏❤️🇹🇱
Thanks for sharing. Eddie eventually went back to non-pedal, and staying mostly in A6, if I got this. Love the way he was basically just sort of "plucking" rhythm throughout several bars on this track. A lot of players seem to always try and be in the forefront. But only the very best are capable of backing off a little, in order to allow other band members to take the lead. Just something to think about.
"Everyone gets a turn" is the best way.
Good Onya you have shown me how to start and the raw basics Thankyou
How's it going? I bought my first pedal steel in the summer of 2020, a Zum Encore. I'm very happy with it, and my playing is coming along. I just wish I had started 30 years earlier.
Oh damn, I’ve met him, but 40 years later and I wouldn’t have recognized him!
Oops, 30 years 😬 We spoke for a second when the Wheel played Melbourne FL.
This just popped up in my YT recommendations - Something tells me I won't be the only one ;)
these were made by Doug Ernest
That bass is only slightly bigger than a full-sized cello.
Now at almost a year, how do you like the stage one? I'm happy with mine.
Nice job, looking forward to see how you progress :D
I should mention that I never touched a pedal steel in my life until this one arrived.
