Grease gun won't pump? Try this quick tip, given from a professional komatsu mechanic.
Hi all
Just a quick one that I thought would be helpful as I've struggled with grease guns until I was shown this. I personally use a tecalemit tec450 and would be my favourite manual grease gun to date, this trick also works with mcnaught guns and hopfully your one too.

From recycled house stump too a decrative floating shelf

Hi guys In this video, I turn an old house stump from a demolition job into either, a indoor wall mounted shelf or, a outside shelf. Redgum is very good outdoor timber hence the reason they were used for house stumps. enjoy

Hi guys Just been playing around with the the new jointer/thicknesser and thought I'd share this juice groove pattern. I can't believe I spent all this time on it and didn't realise till after I'd finished it, that I hadn't sanded the top down enough. ah well lucky its not for a paying customer. lesson learnt for the next one.

Nice one dude. Is that an 036 you're running there?

@@browncat1188 big dogg!
it seems you are living in the middle of nowhere....pls: protect your ears, your face, your legs and your feet against a failed cut with this monster of chainsaw and other things that fly around at this well done job. Stay safe!
Thanks, this was just in a local bush where I go motorbike riding. I do generally wear chaps, I'd left them in my other vehicle. Got ear plugs in though, these things are loud.
Good job. You can do a lot with a truck and a chain if you're patient, careful, and have good help. :)
Thanks Steve For sure 👍
Hey thanks for the tips and tricks. Much love.
Hey, not a problem 👍
It's nice to do these woodworking crafts , even you got all the stuff you need ... Nice shelf
Thanks, yeah it's a bit of fun 👍
❤❤❤
I've been cutting up 80+ year old fence timber for the fire and almost crying at the beautiful grain BUT gee it burns hot and long! I could not bring myself to cut up a 125 x 125 post and thanks to this video, I know what to do with it! I'm in coastal NSW and fair bet our old hardwood is tallowwood.
Absolutely best video with relevant information on changing my tracks seals. Thank you sir!
Thanks mate, I have a SK210 and previously having no idea what was involved I was dreading this job, but am due to get new Chains in a couple of weeks and am swapping the idlers and sprockets out at the same time. Thanks to this video the job doesn't seem too daunting at all 🤙
Hi Tim Glad I could help, I hope it all goes well for you 👍
This works fine. Cheers mate for the video. Shitty job up here in the great white north, snow and cold
I'm glad it helped. Dealing with tracks in the snow doesn't sound fun, I feel for you. Good luck 👍
Fence posts are usually chemically treated timber…to protect them from damp…they’re seriously not fit for a food chopping board. Plus it could be full of all sorts of fungi etc along with the treatment chemicals.
What is that wood? Mesquite?
Hi there My guess is redgum, hard to say exactly.
Well-done
Thanks Much appreciated 👍
I was fine until the end when you turned it over. What's with all the splotches all over the wood? Unsanded residue from from your makeshift wood filler? And like others, I could think of many things to turn that wood into, but a cutting board ain't one of them. Personally, that piece had way too many cracks and voids to make it useful for food prep, unless it was purely decorative. And unless you had a metal detector that wasn't shown, sawing and planing that piece was very risky.
Nachos. Just signed up for a subscription to your channel. Thanks for the nice video. Where is that website for Kreg? Your use of alignment tools has encouraged me to do the same.
Hi John Thanks, that's good to hear the video has encouraged you. Sorry I'm unfamiliar with kreg website. I hope your projects turn out well. 👍
This is the first time i see anyone using walnut as a fencing post, must be taken from some billionaire’s mansion..
Great work. When assembling a job I put glue into an old ice cream container and use a brush to apply the glue to the job.
Thanks, I definitely need to try that lol
You missed the most interesting part. when, why and how the o=post!
Hi Ken Sorry I'm not sure what you mean?
Looks just like Mesquite wood... A danggg good wood.
Als je je verveelt misschien.
Looks like Australien red blood wood ? Just guessing
Could be 👍
@@browncat1188 love to work with it. Was lucky enough to buy a board 12 feet long 1 1/4 thick and 14” wide . Beautiful wood . Scarce here in the US I’m told. Nice work your a craftsman
@@frankloree2462 Ah good stuff, what do you plan to make with it? Thanks 👍
@@browncat1188 been letting it dry I don’t know the moisture content. Had it about 4 years. Couple small dovetail boxes from it turned out great. It does chip out on the dovetail jig if not careful. Thinking about jewelry boxes. Small shop so mostly small projects. Thanks for the conversation and good luck on your future projects
@@frankloree2462 I can imagine they would look very good, thanks and same to you with your projects
Well you certainly know what you're doing. Great work holding setups, gotta make me one of those steel wedges. The board is some lovely work mate, the heavy chamfers work well on such a substantial piece. you did a great job of keeping the character and using checked sections that I might have rejected. Keep it coming
Thanks Pablo The steel wedge idea is thanks to one of my mates who is a boiler maker, I went with the heavy chamfer because I made a mistake, I planned to have the juice groove closer to the edge but set my jig up in the wrong orientation. Thanks for the comment. 👍
I'll just go and buy one. What keeps the glue joints from coming apart?
Glue lol
What kindnof oil did you use before the wax. It really mad a difference.
Hi James, that was grape seed oil

Nice Projekt. Well done. But for your safety better push the router than draw him to your body.
Thanks and for the tip too 👍
A magnificent project. I can see that becoming an heirloom piece.
Thanks, hopfully 👍
That was such a beautiful end product, I can't imagine taking a blade and carving up a slice and risking marring the surface in any way. But what do you do, it's a cutting board. Again, terrific job Man.
Thanks, yeah the first few uses were tough lol
WOW is all I can say !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
That's awesome 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
no freakin' chance! my tools are too expensive to risk them on such a garbage wood !!!!
Spoken like a true slave to your tools. Remember that your tools work for you, not the other way around. If you don't like the project that's perfectly fine, but if your tools limit you to what you want, that's bad. Besides what expensive tools did he use besides his planer? Sandpaper, saw blade, router bits, and more sandpaper--all consumable items.
I can tell that you can cut wood with tools but your choice of wood is highly unsanitary since wood is porous and fungus grows Tru wood 🪵 and mold spores are to the core of this wood! This is worse that eating off of the ground! A wood cutting board made from good wood will contaminate your food with salmonella and germs from cuts from the knife blade leaving food particles in cuts ✂️ a wood cutting board is unsanitary and shouldn't be used for food preparation a plastic cutting Mat is far safer and can be bleached cleaning it far better than wood. Your choice of project is highly undesirable since you used toxic wood for a food prep item. Sir you can cut wood but you ate not a chef this cutting board will cause Gastric sickness I don't reccomend using this for food preperation!
But it WAS pretty. Better suited for a serving tray or small side table.
Nice work. Loving your router sled.
Thanks 👍
Buen trabajo, maestro..obra para 60 años más en el hogar..saludos.. PERÚ 🇵🇪 AMÉRICA-SUR../ .

Was soll das Teil kosten, 20 Euro ? Mehr ist dieser Pfusch nicht wert !! / What should the part cost, 20 euros ? More is not worth this botch !!!
Hey big spender, I would of thought 10 Euros be fair 😂
Wood is just amazing stuff. Never throw any away, or like my husband pick up EVERY bit by the dumpsters! Endlessly useful....
Haha thanks 👍
Ironbark?
Definitely possible
Well the only problem I see would be you'll have to oil the rest of the picnic table or your wife will give you the business ha.
Haha funny you say that, that's exactly what I did after the board
Was that a food safe wax?
Hi Gary Probly best to check with organoil for the correct answere, but it does say all natural beeswax and citrus oil. 👍
Very nice work 👍👍
Thank you 👍
well done
Thanks 👍
Great Job! I, too Hate to see wood wasted. Thanks
Me too thanks 👍
Isn't the fence post made from treated lumber? I hope its for decoration only!
Hi Hussein I'm in Australia, this is a native hardwood that is naturally good in ground, also I could be wrong but I haven't heard of treated hardwood posts over here and worse case it's our own personal board so our loss lol. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@browncat1188 .. 04tt55uvku n.. 7
In the US that would be a soft wood, most likely pine, saturated in chromated copper arsenate….so chromium, copper and arsenic….so the original questions concerns are valid. It’s cool that you have a locally available hardwood that is rot resistant.
@@jamesweeg6545 definitely was valid, we also commonly use treated pine posts. Thanks 👍
Miss one nail and kiss the planer knives good by! Couldn’t take that chance
You should do a build video on your router sled
Hi Jason. I'll see how I go. But for now I can explain it a bit. The top piece is angle iron from a old bed frame, I'd recommend making that part better quality then I have, but the rails work well, I think it's 40 by 40 rhs and a 25 by 50 rhs. You can easily ad or remove, even flip the 50 by 25 to give yourself a range of heights. Hope this helps 👍
Több órát dolgozott egy szar piros vágódeszkáért? Amilyen anyagokat használt, milyen íze lesz a húsnak, amit szel rajta??
Face mask ? dust collection ?
Gorgeous wood grain and coloring. Loved your router sled. Enjoyable video from start to finish.
Thanks 👍 much appreciated
I'm over here in southeast Texas, (in the woods), and this was the most informative video about changing these seal's. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Not a problem, I'm glad it helped. Thanks for the positive feedback 👍
