I had the privilege of performing this piece with the Tomball choral many years ago. It’s a joy to hear it again with the same conductor and I’m sure many of the same singers. Always a truly great choir.

Many years ago, an old Newfoundland seal hunter that built his own sailing ships and sailed them to Greenland and back said, "Larry boy, if you ever want to learn to pray then go to sea".

My Dad is a Vietnam Veteran, and a SEAL. He’s not doing so god now and wanted to find something like this to honor him. This would do greatly!

After serving 141/2 years on Tincans (Destroyers) this reminds me of why I so enjoyed the US NAVY.

How moving and touching. What a great hymn. The hymn is really a prayer asking God to protect those who serve and whose lives are "in peril" on the sea, on the land and in the air.

Such a great piece. I don't get why it isn't done more, although it ain't all that easy.
