I believe that Smith became placent and overconfident in technology that builded these great ships. Since he was the commanding officer of the Olympic during her accidents he got too over confindent that they could take serious damage and still safety float. He also knew that they would incounter some form of ice before sun up he didn't put out extra lookouts he put all his eggs on the eyes of only two men that could probably just see 15 yards at best to see danger in time in the pitch dark going full steam when it took almost a full mile just to come to a stop. He was at fault for the lack of crew preparation for emergency evacuation. Nobody knew where they where supposed to be. To make sure that the officers knew how many the boat could hold and safety fill them with 60 to 65 people that they could safely hold instead of 20, 28, 12. And unfortunately he as Captain it is all his responsibility if it happens on his watch or not.

Watching this made my hands twitch. I can still remember all the key commands and preset macros I had set for this game. I played it in it's original format on 3.5" floppies, and again on CD when this version was released. Thanks for posting this.

Couldn't agree more. It's a shame how things are today and now we have another damn lockout and the players don't seem to care at all. I love my grandfather's stories about going to Ebbett's Field, The Polo Grounds, and the old Yankee Stadium in the 40s and 50s. I grew up in the wrong time.

I disagree with you vehemently regarding this film. I lioe it and rare it the same as the themes I mentioned in my comment above. You are obviously not a fan of the late great Clive Cussler, whose 'Dirk Pitt' adventure novel was the basis of this film's story, and don't forget, it was made prior to the discovery of the RNS Titanic by Dr.Robert Ballard. Whereas I doubt the poor Titanic could ever have been raised, even had she not broken in two prior to her foundering, it does not detract from the detail and effor (and ££££'s) which went into making this film. ... I wish I had seen her in her full and in real colour glory back in the day and not just in the black and white photos of her time in real life 1912. However, even I am not that old (really, I am 'just 70' !!) and my late Mum was born 5 years after poor Titanic sailed to her doom.. 😢 (I used to tease Mum about the Titanic, but she'd just laugh and say, "... You can't blame me... I wasn't even born when she sank !!") ❤
