Fitting resonated Scorpion exhaust on Mini Cooper S R53.
Very nice quality stainless steel exhaust and more or less straight forward replacement for the old and rusty OEM exhaust.
For best sound experience use headphones.

Mini Cooper S Spray Painting Stripes

I have decided to spray paint stripes on my 2006 Mini Cooper S R53. Thought why would I put stickers on it when I'm a spray painter by profession. So here it is for your judgment! where and how did you get the infotainment screen in there?
How much of a pain in the arse is it to retrofit infotainment? It's either that or I buy one with a chrono pack and switch out the decals cause as much as I love an R53 I just don't like the centre speedo 😬
I have the same display. It’s stock. Back then you could chrono pack or navigation.

@@hillsidecarspray6580 Damn it. I love the way that undertray looks like some kind of mini diffuser. I wanted to keep mine. I'm looking at exhausts to buy right now and seem to be limited to either Miltek or a used JCW one if I can find one. I like the Direnza exhaust too but i think the undertray has to go for that aswell.
@@hillsidecarspray6580 Can you fit the battery tray back on afterwards or is it a definite no no. I love the way it loos like a little mini diffuser on R53's I do like the scorpion exhaust though.
Yeah, I managed to put it back on however it needs some cutting to make it fit nicely
@@hillsidecarspray6580 AH okay. Resonated scorpions cost as much as the resonated Milteks now so I think I'll go the miltek option for a more OEM fit.
came here just cause i wanted to get a clue as to what my r53 would sound like with this exhaust but i think imma stick around for the long run, this some high qual videography and a lot of effort for a 2nd video on a 60~ sub channel. GJ bro and looking forward to more content

Thanks! I've bought it from Orranje in UK it was £599 if I remember correctly.

how loud are those “gun shot” like pops when standing a bit away from the car?
Hi. Not too loud, sometimes it can pop a bit louder or quieter it depends. To get loud pops you'd need non resonated exhaust I believe, however this one (resonated) is just right for me.

Nice production value! I'm missing some bass in the exhaust note, is that a characteristic of the exhaust or from the microphone/camera? Thanks for your feedback. Regarding the sound it's probably my error having some trouble with sound levels in Davinci, also it's Bmpcc4k onboard mic's as I forgot proper mic at home when filming last part of the video :) happens

@@hillsidecarspray6580 I would get heat fabric. I have a few wraps around the piping where the exhaust goes under the rear bumper. It's well worth it and if done properly looks great as well.

Thanks man! We were allowed to open from today so I'm back spraying cars for customers. Don't even know when I'll be able to finish doing stripes on tailgate. Anyway if you ever need any bodywork done on yours just give us a shout. 👍🏻
Hillside Car Spray mine needs some attention. It’s on the list after servicing. No idea how much paint would cost for such a tiny car. Needs roof/ body attacking. Minor stuff so not a bare metal job. ;).
