its byrds not beards--lol
SOMETHING WAS GEORGE HARRISON'S SONG SUNG FIRST BY PEGGY LEE THEN BY ELVIS...
Lovely spoken lady.
HELLO, I SAW ELVIS IN LAS VEGAS AT THE HILTON HOTEL YEARS AGO, JOHN FROM NORTH CAROLINA .
That's awesome - great memories!
Comparing Elvis to the Beatles is like comparing a guppy to to a Blue Whale
Miss ya mum
Beards not Byrds... good grief.
Elvis' sloppy (to put it mildly) version of "Hey Jude" is nothing to write home about!
Did the Beatles ever record a song that Elvis wrote ? End of argument !
First of all, Elvis never wrote a song in his life, he was a singer. Even his first hit song, Heartbreak Hotel was written by Carl Perkins who never gave Presley the right to record it but did get royalties of Five hundred bucks for it.
@@patbrennan6572err, you may want to fact check who wrote Heartbreak Hotel….in was not Perkins
@@joseywales1869 I stand corrected, it was blue suede shoes that Perkins wrote, and Elvis recorded it without permission.
Great video and thanks SO much for sharing those behind the scenes snippets and for collecting all of Elvis' covers of the Beatles songs, I'll definitely check it out...such a tragic ending to such a wonderful man and life.
Thank you for your comment - I appreciate that!
Elvis was bigger than the Beatles by a mile.
Elvis wasn't a fan of the hippie culture, that was it, and i understand him
❤ Elvis...Hate his(FBI, etc)<iDIOtic-choices
Elvis 🔝👑⚡❤️ come Lui nessuno nessuno
Elvis was never jealous of other artists, he was a humble man. John lennon said that before Elvis there was nothing, Elvis paved the way for black people and other artists, many artists say this too.
@zs4855: You are 100% right. Elvis himself once said: "There is enough room for all artists in this world"! By the way, the Beatles were never a competitor to Elvis Presley. When the Beatles were making music, Elvis Presley was making films. He wasn't even present on the music market because he made very successful films.
I think he liked their music but he was human and probably a little jealous.
חקי חיון הביטלס הצליחו הכי הרבה בעולם המוזיקה אבל אלביס ישנו רק אחד.
Elvis il migliore in assoluto 🔝👑⚡❤️ the best the greatest all of the time Forever
something hey Jude get bacck
Elvis Presley es el hombre más talentoso y hermoso que ha caminado por este planeta.
Pero el perro Parker haría un desmadre Parker es loas misetsblets miserable en la vida del rey
I just can't figure out how one of the most recognized men on the planet, could just somehow disappear the moment he put a camera lens to his eye. He took some incredible photos that the photojournalists chasing him around would have killed to get.
Elvis said he likes the Beetles
I dont know but it is a myth that he didn't like the Beatles. He did some of their songs and invited them to his house. He told Nixon he didn't like them because he knew Nixon didn't like them and he used that to get the badges that he wanted for him and the MM.
Thanks for your comment! I think Elvis respected The Beatles, and he liked them to some degree. That is why I wrote the book, ELVIS AND THE BEATLES - to show all the interactions that went on between him and The Beatles over the years - it's a lot more than most people know about!
Elvis said that the Beatles were anti-American. He discredited them with the CIA and President Nixen and tried to expel the Beatles from America. Why? Because the King of Rock and Roll was losing popularity because of the Beatles. His actions astonished the Beatles, as Elvis was their idol. Suddenly they realized that although he appeared to be the radiant, confident King on the outside, he was completely insecure, jealous and envious on the inside. After that, Elvis was no longer their role model.
he was 'trying to suck the oxygen out of the room' that's all, if course he saw COMPETITION
From what I’ve read and seen it seems like Elvis really resented the Beatles, especially as they became increasingly successful throughout the sixties, a time when Elvis was stuck making flic after flic. It’s a shame they never collaborated more
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I wish they had collaborated, but I don't think Elvis resented them like most people think. I think Elvis was just a competitive person by nature, which in part helped him become so successful in the 1950s. I give lots of examples in my book about how Elvis praised The Beatles in public and private throughout the years. 🙂
Doesn't seem real petty!
There is a reason, why "Now and Then" was not released then, it was just not good enough and still is.
I wish them well. I heard the song tonight and think it is pretty good. Lots to like about it. Very talented. Very enjoyable. I grew up on the Beatles as soon as I heard them on Ed Sullivan in 1964 and loved all their music in the 1960's. They are the most important group in pop and rock history. They broke all records in music history. A great many of their records still stand. The most #1 songs of any group of all time. Still hugely popular since 1964.
Paul's son 😢
FAR OUT!!!!
Yeah, brilliant. Now go put a square block through a square hole
Awesome!
That is so cool! But probably wouldn't have been made in 1963.
The flipbook has photos from 1963. But it came out in 2008.
I'm glad the song didn't make it into the movie ,George Clooney movies are incredibly awful
I guess Macca 's been the biggest Beatles' fan
Rooting for Sean👍 lowerthanlofi.bandcamp.com/yum
Kudos to James McCartney and Sean Lennon. 😊❤
Why did you string us along like that and not play the song? That was totally lame...
They're damned if they do, damned if they don't. But the song is really lovely. The first real Lennon-McCartney song in fifty years and it certainly has a 1967 vibe. Haters gotta hate, but screw 'em.
Stick to your day jobs: spending your daddy’s money.
Are YOU jealous???
If you paid attention, you’d know that they both work very hard. Especially Sean.
yep! two trust fund babies!!
How about playing the music less talk
It's not all that good.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!

John is spinning in his grave and George's laughing.......McCartney has gone totally mad.......song would've done nothing if released under a different name
lol it would have fit in the later beatles catalogue, you all just love to hate on paul. Lennon was getting quite close to paul again the year he was killed, george was fine with working on this song, its literally on film him recording it with paul in the 90s, he was just unhappy with the sound quality so he said the quality was rubbish and they moved on, until they had the technology to clean up the audio. dunno why some fans insist on creating their own narrative to hate on paul
Seems like Paul was willing to whore out the song to just about anybody. How it wound up in such a piece of garbage like argyle is beyond me.
It's perplexing why he wanted it in a movie so badly.
