I am living your life now. It is April13 today and my husband had first seizure Dec26, so 3 months and already on Hospice. What a hard thing to deal with. Our son is graduating in 5 weeks from high school. Life is a big shambles now. When you think you are alone, someone else walked in your shoes beforehand.

My husband is starting the final stages of a 4 year battle with glioblastoma…I am his caregiver right now as long as I can and I wouldn’t have it any other way ..he was told it was astrocytoma grade 2 in the beginning but now they say it was glioblastoma ….and he has a new tumor that was found this January and he is deteriorating very fast. This is so tough.. he’s on hospice and I am totally like you ..never show emotions in public.. but bawl my head off in the bedroom myself. I found your video just now…he all of a sudden is speaking jumbled words and I’m worried it has infiltrated the speech section and he now has apasia.. I pray not…but I have called hospice twice during the night asking what to do. He sleeps now and I pray he wakes up talking more like he was yesterday…yes he had word finding problems ..but this is different. ..but all thru the nite every time he wakes up it’s the same jumbled speech..I was looking for answers when I found your videos .. it’s a comfort to hear you talk and to know that this is truly hell we caregivers are going thru.. seeing our loved ones slowly slip away from us.. thank u for your videos .

My husband was just diagnosed with a high grade astrocytoma (we aren’t sure if it’s grade 3 or 4 yet). They did say it’s not GBM thank goodness. But, my husbands was also in his left temporal lobe. They just removed all of it a few weeks ago but the surgery left him with difficulty speaking and with memory. He also has trouble comprehending things. He does have double vision in his left eye and he can’t look left with that eye either. Overall he’s doing as good as can be. We see the neuro oncologist and radiologist next week. Praying my husband lives a long time like you.

I thought my husband was given a death sentence....turns out, maybe not so much, it's almost a year since his diagnosis and surgery, everything's looking exceptional even the doctors are excited... here's the thing, the guy in this video is right, hypervilligence is the only way to stay on top of it. Plus finding out that others have lived long term is relieving to those of us left wondering what's next...thank you for posting this, I can breath a little better...it's too soon to call it in the clear just yet, maybe it never will be but for now I'm just blessed to hear his peaceful snoring on the lazyboy in the other room. God's got us, this I know for fact....may those of you searching for answers find your blessings as well.
