Drum breaks are a pain luckily I had bought a disc break conversion kit, now my 69 c10 breaks like a dream. Especially when you have power under your hood it’s essential to have good breaks
Good job putting it all back together man looks nice
Grease seal is leaking
I wouldnt buy a big truck with drum brakes to begin with and if i do id convert them to disk brakes
Absolutely nothing wrong with drum brakes if they are done right. My daily 71 ford has drum brakes and they function just fine.
@@classiccrewcabsnot saying they dont work but they arent as effective as disk brakes and wear worse aswell
Drums are fine if they're adjusted properly
Don’t know what type of vehicle it is , but its got a healthy suspension and it looks like you’re doing a refurb on it.
Nice work!
Nice video 👍
Sharp.
Nice job
73-79 steering box from a 2wd truck or ford bronco steering box. No cutting of frame, but you need to box in the frame and mount it to the out side of the frame. You will have to get a Chevy drag link in order to get the steering wheel to turn equal distance L to R. Chevy drag links are adjustable unlike the Fords.
Damn your like me just have a whole fleet of these bad boys
Lucky I'm jealous now I'm always searching for high boys in these year models most are just two doors I only have the one four-door I have a 67 69 2 73s and my four-door highboy my 67 is my favorite in the bump sides one year model painted powder blue I guess this is an addiction but it's one step better than drugs 😁

Zombie Apocalypse or fending of crazed bikers in the desert.
😅😅😅
Love it! 👍
Before me somebody turned mine into a long bed 73 four-door highboy mine has the 390 4-speed with A 3-speed brownie I've had people offer me up to 35000 for it can't sell it's going to be my coffin at the end
I put a 330 in a 73 highboy with a C6 same that's in this truck after I bolted it together I had a machine shop tell me because 330 has a steel crank you got to put two spacer plates between the the engine and the transmission I only put one they said it'll put too much pressure on the torque converter and crushed oil pump I don't know if this is true or not does anybody know before I fire it up
@@dannywilson2446 not the case here. Truck runs great with the 330 and C6. The 330 ft is the same block as the 360FE. So c6 bolts right up.
@classiccrewcabs okay good so I should be okay to run it
Measure the distance between the torque converter mounting pad and the one spacer plate, then do the same for the trans. Guarantees it’s the proper distance. Can RUclips how to measure it if you need to.
@@Brandonbaughman k thanks
The Truck is from Alaska, if it weren’t owned by a fire department it wouldn’t be recognizable. Just ask backyard Alaskan
Thank you for the steel wheels and not throwing gawdy black stick out wheels!
That thing’s a beast!
If i was in usa i would love to buy this one
I buy it for 500
Your car is about a year old
Looks like a highboy
And it can be yours for the low price of $100,000 !

I have a 73 four-door 3/4 ton long bed four-wheel drive it's got to be my favorite truck I purchased it 12 years ago for $500 never done anything to it except for a battery tires brakes that's it it's my daily driver
I like what you're doing with the old trucks keeping them running and daily driving some of them. that sort of stuff is my plan when I get my grampas truck rebuilt from the tree incident.
Awesome video definitely need a tour of all those trucks!
