i know this is a very old video but this is way overcomplicated in my opinion. if you can't afford FL or don't want to pirate it there's a program called waveform that can help you make USTs and it also helps you find the notes of the vocals. it exports as UST too so there's no need for any extra stuff.

Hey, I'm trying to make an UTAU cover of this song, and I can't get the UST link you offered to download properly. It says its a "RAR", which UTAU can't open for me.
You’re not supposed to open the rar in utau, as it only opens ust or vsq files. You have to use a decompressor cuz rar files are compression files (you’ll also see similar ones like zip or 7z). I suggest downloading winrar or 7zip to open the file (these are free btw, you do not have to pay for winrar)

Well I made this myself, and it’s kind of illegal to distribute it, but you can make your own using a KK Slider soundfont What I did is that since he has 5 main sounds, I chose one for each vowel.

Well it really depends if the vb you use has breath samples. But what I do is that I just replace the rest before the notes with the breath (which are usually aliased as "br" or "息")
