I had the external radiation treatments for prostate cancer 2 years ago and dealt with many side effects. I thank the Lord I'm doing much better now.
Did you have CyberKnife radiation therapy, or another type of radiation? It makes a very big difference. The vast majority of our patients have few if any side effects.

@@TonyWhite-kn5nl At CyberKnife Miami we do 5 treatments, but we do one every other day. Our vast experience has proven there is much less risk of side effects when you treat every other day. We obviously don't know your situation or what happened, but our experience is few if any side effects with the vast majority of our patients

What was your pi-rads score from your MRI scan?
So there's an argument that if you choose radiation and the cancer returns that having surgery to remove the prostate is very difficult. Why can't the patient return to cyberknife treat that specific area again?
You most often can have the area retreated and we have yet to see a patient get cancer from the treatment - it is so very rare with any type of radiation therapy to get cancer from it - I believe the rate is about 2 to 4 percent

I got my prostate removed because I didn't want thru all this.
