Well for one that’s not a fifth wheel trailer it’s a gooseneck and two that trailer isn’t even loaded so how do you know he’s even going to exceed his axle weight rating? 🤔

Wow bud, definitely wrong on this one. My truck is rated for 18,000lbs on the rear axle and it's SRW. I haul a 30' gooseneck with either 12 bales on it or two Jeeps. I've had more bales on it, but it was overloaded with 14 bales.

I hotshotted for 2 years before getting my semi and was inspected numerous times. They never once said anything about my chains not being crossed. It isn’t a bumper pull trailer.

@Matthew no even when you haul a piece of equipment and chain it down from the sides your chains have to be crossed! Yes I know it seems stupid cause when you cross the chains they rub each other but nothing is as stupid as they nonprofessionals who come up with this shit just so they can fine you for not crossing chains then want to fine you for wear on your chains because they're rubbing when crossed! Yes the trucking life is just great if you don't weaken!

@cowboy What state does that. I have pulled me 3 horse gooseneck from Florida to California ( south of I-40 ) and have never had a problem. Not saying it does or doesn’t make sense , 99%of trucking rules are are for $$$$ and made by people that have never even SAT in a truck. It would be nice to know what state /states are pushing the chain agenda.
