Pete Thorn is actually a great guitarist in his own right. His playing is a little tame here though. He could burn his guitar to pieces if he wanted.

Yeah, check out the contrast of this performance with his performance in 2003. Search "Show Me How To LIve Pinkpop 2003" on youtube, and you'll be blown away by the differences. Especially in the chorus...it's almost painful to watch the 2003 version, and he's hitting everything in this 2007 recording!

c mon man, the solo sounds almost the same, just without delay.. after all it s very easy, single notes with the whammy on 2 octaves up! you cant go wrong....

You are out to lunch - sure - he's playing behind the beat on the solo (and yes, I've got a Whammy pedal too and know how to play it myself as well) but he's the one who got the nod to play with the author - that means something right there - and listen to this crowd! When I'm asked to join Cornell on stage, them maybe I'll critique this guy. I like Tom as well as the next guy but slamming this dude just doesn't accomplish anything - he's doing a fine job.

...No Tom solo. :( It's just not the same without Tom's solo.

You just can't replace Tom, so I think it was right on Chris' bands part to not try to replicate Tom's solo.

guitarist fucking sucks..demn he is not even using the correct tremolo for the verse. the solo is so horrible, it made my ears hurt. it is very sad watching this when my favorite band is Audioslave.

I will say this before I even watch this, all I remember is a godly drum solo.

I was about in the bottom left corner of the screen. The acoustics parts were amazing. I couldn't lose it w/ the heavier songs as there was a mother with her autistic daughter next to me.

how is that if Cornell wrote all the songs? haha. besides, most of Morello's "solos" suck, only his riffs are good.

I waited almost 14 years to see him live. I was up on the balcony to his left. It was very amusing trying to watch him perform behind about 4 retarded college kids and a high & who knows what else 40 something year old lady who kept talking to me. I went downstairs to catch the final songs (black hole sun). . Good to finally see one of my life long idols though! Hopefully i get to see him with the rest of Soundarden in the future! In an outside theatre!

I said the same thing to my friend at the concert. This guy did a real solo with a melody, not just wierd random obnoxious noises haha. much better this way. I hated the solo the first time i heard this song, didn't fit the song at all.

tom morello blows, lets face it he just makes annoying noises with his guitar. this guy actually played the guitar. it was a nice change
