Can't have a Lotus Track day without battling a couple Lotus! . With last year's setup I could only manage a 2:08, this years setup seems to work pretty well alhamdullilah, even with the track temps through the roof today I managed a 2:04

I was using the EP3 to help guide me with the lines and braking but he kept pulling away so I had to step it up haha! Eventually turned into a proper chase! Fastest lap of the day with a 59.17 but it's pretty clear the clio has alot more in it. Will try book a full day next time and aim for a 55/56 sec lap.

(Sorry about the camera the mount worked itself loose!) Cadwell on sunday was amazing, weather held up and was hot and sunny throughout the day! Cadwell was a first for me and i was suprised i got to grips with the circuit so quickly. Alot of time to be made but unfortunately i ran into a few issues so i'll have to come back and get faster 👌 1:49:49 at the end! Had a pretty fun battle with this...

First time at Cadwell Park and gadammm what a track! Takes alot to be fast round here but it wasn't as daunting as I thought it was going to be. Apologies for the camera, the mount worked its way loose 🤣 Fastest I got was a 1:49 with dead tyres, hopefully next time with fresh tyres can aim for low 1:40

Dont know much about the grey megane other than it was fast af! Running Falken FK520s here, i think the cold weather helped a fair bit keeping them in temp range, they did pretty well getting a 2:22 lap time even with slowing down to giveway in the beginning!

whats the car specs, first session out in mine at bands last night and struggled to get into 59s
@@JoelJames__1 you need an LSD to put down any decent times. Just got Coilovers and Gripper LSD that's it tbh. The rest is just ebay mods, toyo manifold, gravity exhaust, home made airbox. Makes 196bhp so nothing special.
@@ClioManFuz did have a lot of one wheel peel. It’s a full track spec car just doesn’t have a diff would have thought I could have got into the 58s at least. Had a quaife in my old car will definitely consider a gripper as the Clio won’t go on the road.

@@armingko I've got bucket seat too, but I just cable tie it. They do a mount for recaro Cs aswell, if you search Recaro Cs Gopro mount on Google it'll come up. It mounts to the hole on the Headrest

@@ClioManFuz OK, it's your right. 😂 But believe me, especially on an RS dedicated to trackdays more or less, installing real pressure gauges to know the engine oil pressure and temperature in direct live which our stock Clio RS don't have, will be much more useful. ^^
Its oil temp and water temp gauges. Not pressure. But thank you for the information :)
Lift but be prepared to correct. Sometimes better for rotation.
Good driving and nice sounding engine. I would like to know what mods you have done to your car, I have a RS200 Cup Mk3, all I have done to it is Kraftwerk’s ECU Tune and a throttle response unit, everything else is stock.

Not bad driving, but try to seat closer to the steering wheel or bring the steering wheel closer to you, whichever you find doable. Your arms seem very stretched (too stretched) when reaching steering angles of 90 degrees, the arm should never extend fully. Bring the steering wheel closer and you will acquire an even better feel for what the car is doing and where the limits of grip are. Keep it up.

Ep3 supercharged? Why is he gapping you on straights like that. Civic driver is doo doo. Looks at them lines and how he enters the corners.
Other than the hairpin I didn't see anything wrong with his lines. Prob had issues going hard on the brakes.
its often learned the hard way to never lift especially in a fwd car lmao, went fully sideways in my mini on track because i lifted mid corner😅

Rear is on 2.9 degrees and toe is zero'd out

Nothing better on a trackday than finding someone with similar pace
Clio on the corners and the type R down the straight. Has both in stock form and the type R was certainly quicker in a straight line but the Clio was just slightly more focused in the corners. Just my opinion.
I agree. I had an ep3 before the clio and felt the same. Now imagine if you merged both... Kswapped clio 🤔
@@ClioManFuz I had a Mégane F1 team which was ok but frankly the turbo is too small. It drove like a fast diesel. I now own a later model civic fn2 with the factory lsd and it amazingly handles every bit as good as my Mégane. Very stable at speed and doesn't understeer like the non LSD ones do.

What exhaust on your 197 ? Car goes really well . I have a 197 and megane 275 great to see them on track having a battle together.

It’s an ok save, but everybody in here thinks he’s drifting a rear drive car. It’s front drive people. When it gets sideways, you stand on the gas till it’s not and drive away. Still, glad you saved it. 🙂

As far as I'm aware, letting off in a Clio will send you off the track because it's MR, though I have never driven one so I don't know if they've got bad snap oversteer
