@dave23024 it was in the 40s overnight. If you want to run in Death Valley without the heat, run in the winter. I have run the Death Valley Marathon twice in February and it's cool. About perfect temps for running a marathon.

@HunterHunter93 northwest Montana in Glacier National Park. We got there just before 7 am on a chilly partly cloudy day and had the whole trail to ourselves on the way up. At Avalanche Lake, we were the only ones there. Coming down, we saw maybe 30 or so people on their way up. Gets more crowded in the summer.

This section was so nice. Great native bush, not too technical, mostly downhill, and I got here just after dark, so really nice running on well formed trail.

Save your joints, take up swimming. I’ve run over 25,000 miles in my life and my joints are all shot to hell.
Swimming is good. I still run. I am diligent about changing out my shoes regularly. I have run over 100,000 miles.
@@marki7275 I also worked as med/surg nurse for 35 years. Those concrete floors are murder on the feet, knees and back, not to mention the thousands of patient lifts and positioning of them during that time to. You are blessed with a super human skeletal structure. 100,000 miles is insane. When did you have time to work, sleep or raise a family ?
@@kristopherdetar4346 I run early in the morning usually leaving the house at 4:30. Raised four kids. I am pretty steady at the running. You had a tough job as a nurse.
