As a music journalist it's extremely important to have a basic understanding and appreciation for all sorts of music. So don't be afraid to try things out of your comfort zone.

A lot of us have felt self concious and insecure about our abilities. As well as ranting about posts that demonize skinny people, I am here to tell all of you that you are all beautiful whatever shape or size you are.

As well as a weekly vlog I am going to conduct weekly tips about being a journalist. A lot of the time I was worried about how much time went by during interviews. I did a simple thing with the dictaphone; it helped me to relax and enjoy the interview.

We all have little pleasures that give us joy but there are some that aren't considered cool enough or in high regard. Here I am to tell you to shout about any sort of pleasure that makes you happy and how ridiculous the term "guilty pleasure" is.

Over the past few years as a journalist specialising in Metal I have heard many a comment about what is considered "proper metal" and what is the "right look" for a metal head. My personal opinion? The term is stupid, metal is metal.

These past few days I have been feeling low and music helped lift my spirits. Here I explain the power of music and how incredible it is. Particularly growing up with autism and it helped me find a voice, a passion.

I went to a showcase in London Saturday, my first time experiencing the underground scene in London and I loved every moment. Talking to someone about how important our scene is, he asked a very interesting question. something along the lines of "Why do they think they won't enjoy it?" Which got me thinking. Here I am to tell you WHY it's enjoyable! #supportyourlocalscene

Sometimes we take on far more than we can handle and I'm here to say that it is OK to say no. Putting yourself first isn't selfish, it's sometimes necessary particularly when struggling with mental health issues.
