[Lelit Bianca V3] Unboxing & New Feature Review
Просмотров 47 тыс.2 года назад
A quick review of the new features in Lelit’s brand new Bianca V3 and if it is a worthwhile upgrade from V2. Update: After more extensive testing, the optimized warm up time is more incremental than my initial tests. On average my machine is ready to brew and steam in ~14.5 minutes. On brew only mode (no steam), the machine is ready to brew ~12 minutes. Chapters 00:00 Unboxing 00:14 Introductio...

    Noticed your machine is set to 90 degrees. Did you ever measure the offset of the temp. out of the brew head? Online I keep reading it’s about 6-7 degrees so wouldn’t that make your setting to low?

    • @natersoz2
      @natersoz2 3 месяца назад

      I agree with your assessment that the brew head temperature is quite a bit lower than the reading. I set my water temperature up 3 C to compensate. Certainly makes better coffee.

    Hi, I entered the same parameters as you mentioned in the video I hear that the pump is running correctly I guess but the flow control nanometer is showing 0 the whole shot duration. the nanometer shows pressure only when the paddle is fully open since the begging of the shot (no flow control actibvated just normal shot). do you think there is a problem with my flow control nanometer or I should do an adjustment to make it function? I received this machine only 2 weeks ago. thank you in advance!

    This is fucking ridiculous. I bought this machine a few days ago and this has been absolutely pissing me off. I turn on the machine and leave to let it heat up, and when I come back the machine has already turned back off, this happens constantly. I've been reading through the manual several times and Googling my ass off to figure this out. Why wouldn't they just include an option in the LCC, right next to sleep mode!?

    • @natersoz2

      Agree. Since it takes at least 15 minutes to get to temperature, by the time it reaches temperature, it shuts itself off.

    I think the electronic flow profiling is great for people who co-use the machine with a less enthusiastic person. My girlfriend can pull a shot on a dialed in machine but that's about it. She is not interested in using a flow paddle and that's fine. If I set up the machine with a certain profile however, I do all the work for her and allow her to make great espresso without having to dive into it as a hobby, while the machine still allows me to geek out with maximum control over brew parameters.

    Does the LCC feel acceptable to use? To me it just seems really cluncky and I'd want a few more buttons (or even a bluetooth functionality)

    • @warrenszen1291
      @warrenszen1291 2 года назад

      It's definitely clunky and probably the biggest thing they need to improve, but for the most part once you get the settings how you like it you don't need to change it much afterward.

    • @jwb1227
      @jwb1227 2 года назад

      The LCC is easy enough to use without having to open up the manual every time. Also, once you dial it in to the way you like it you would never touch it again and just watch the shot clock reach 25 seconds.

    Thanks for the great review. I have a v1 Lelit Bianca, which I upgraded to v2 with an upgrade to the controller. Can it be upgraded to v3 with another controller upgrade? I cannot see any significant external modifications but am unsure about internal dynamics. Thanks

    • @warrenszen1291
      @warrenszen1291 2 года назад

      You need to upgrade a few things to achieve V3, the main ones are the new LCC controller and a 4 way solenoid valve. I don't know the exact details, it would be best to ask your retailer for if it is possible.

    Hi! Good video, thanks. Just wanted to mention that there should be more changes, also physical. For example, I understand that the steam and hot water wand bases should be extending further out from the machine, reducing clanking the wands into the stainless front plate. I have Bianca V2 and that is a welcome change. Also I wonder if the V3 has internal changes to relay controlling the rotary pump, like solid state relay to aide in the automatic pressure profiling... That seems the simplest way compared to real VFD if they can handle motor inductivity and would also mean the pump starts quietly without a relay clang. With a baby in the house, this again a would constitute a welcome change.

    • @warrenszen1291
      @warrenszen1291 2 года назад

      Hi Karl, the steam and hot water base extension actually was a "minor" update that occurred some time in May/June 2021 and was still considered V2. You can see 1st-Line's videos on that for further discussion. V3 does have new software to control the automatic pressure profiling, but the way it controls it from a hardware level is not through motor inductivity at the pump but rather from a new solenoid valve that shifts in between the low flow and high flow modes. When shifting from high flow to low flow there is a slight noise, but it is very quiet and unless you are right next to the machine is pretty much indistinguishable from the overall pump sound. The overall pump noise itself to my knowledge has not changed at all compared to V2.

      @@jwb1227 indeed I agree these machines are a lot of money. The San remo you and cube are both domestic machines, and are priced accordingly. The slayer is a work of art, stunning piece of industrial design. But 14k$ to make coffee at home is a huge investment and like you, not one I’m able or prepared to do. Cost is the reason why I want to make sure the purchase of any machine should be a long term investment. To last at least a decade. This industry is at an interesting intersection I think. I was initially taken by the idea of 61 group head. But I know I wouldn’t buy a car, tv or typewriter that uses design innovations from the early 60s. So decided to keep searching. If you watch some of the videos on commercial machines it’s very Clear the new sensors and tech they have represent a dramatic improvement. The SR You is first domestic machine I’ve seen that pulls that into the home machine. It’s still damn expensive though. And hence want to see more info etc before considering buying. If it’s still not worth the extra expense I might stay completely analogue.
