Not really no but it depends on the dog, he was always quite gentle that came naturally to him

How do you choose which whistle goes with a particular command, is it just tradition in this case?
Yeah these are pretty much the traditional commands but it doesn't actually matter what commands you choose as long as you remember that a certain sound means a certain command

It's called a Logan sheepdog whistle. It's specific to sheepdog training 😊

How you can train dog to listen to different commands just by a whistle and how the hell does sheep know where to go , when to speed up and when to stay 😄 good training 🫡
The whistle is actually the east part. I teach the commands by voice firstly and then when they know the voice I simply blow the whistle and say the command. Eventually I blow the whistle and give no verbal commands. You make different sounds for each command with the whistle.
@@sheepdogtraining6004 very cool stuff , it must be smart dog breed 👍 I have a Czechoslovakia wolf dog he’s stubborn as heck , even tried to ask for professional training and they said that those dogs are too much of a wolf to listen 😄

How long does it take to train your dog for what was shown and at what age do you start training?
It can vary a lot it takes about 18 months to fully train a dog. I start training at 3 months with the basic commands of Allie down , stay etc. I introduce him to sheep at about 5 months and start working on directional commands at that stage

So hard to not get close to a working Dog... my father passed away at 80 and always was a master of sheep dogs... a hill farmer all his life... he never coddled any of the dogs and we pet them so much behind his back... but once he whistled they listened and left us to stand at his heel. a dog will always have his master!

The videos cut short but I do give him a treat for the first few weeks and then phase treats out overtime
