@@okammortravelblog I know - a real disappointment. The new butlers are very nice but...very new. They don't have Winston's knowledge or experience. They didn't renew the contracts on several senior staff. Cost cutting, I assume.

Hi @kayladeveau2984! The balcony is smaller and doesn't wrap around like other imperial suites, ☹but I've only seen 1 Imperial Suite that was vastly larger. El Carmen's Imperial Suite is 3400sqft and two story, Jamaica = 1400sqft, Playa Mujeres = 2560sqft, Riveria Cancun = 1993sqft, etc. I think it's alllll about layout. Example: The Jamaica beach villa is only 1500sqft but it feels much bigger when you step outside on the patio to your private pool and beach in the backyard. Hi @godsfavdaughter, love the name and thank you for the feedback! Don't let the video fool you, the Imperial Suite in Punta Cana is 2500sqft which is about the same size of an average single family home, lol. We stayed at the beachfront honeymoon suite in 2022 and that top deck is BEAUTIFUL but it is only 950sqft. So technically the 2 story beachfront suite is much smaller but the 2 story layout makes for a more spacious feel. Hit us up before you go next time, we can share tips to make sure you have the best trip possible!

Lol! It definitely was but honestly, we wouldn’t want to stay longer than 3 nights. They provide a phenomenal environment for rest and relaxation but it can get boring if you stay too long. Lol. We were at Finest Punta Cana last month and it’s our favorite location. Excellence Oyster Bay is a real close second.

Great question. The airport is about 30mins from the resort but our driver had a heavy foot, lol. Its a scenic drive though so it’s not bad.

Hello @MegaBakera! Thanks. The villas are at the end of the resort and very far from the main areas. But no worries, the villas offer 24/7 butler services where they will shuttle you anywhere on the resort. We had Francine and she was wonderful. She would shuttle us to the restaurant, seat us, serve, wait and drive us back. Phenomenal service included with the room.

Hey hey! Yes, it’s next door so it’s a short walk but i’d recommend asking to be driven over so that you are not sweaty upon arrival. Honestly, Beloved is great but Excellence better. More restaurants, fun, music, activities, etc. If you’re staying 7 days, I’d recommend staying at Excellence. You’d likely get bored at Beloved for 7 days. Lastly, I recommend downloading the Excellence app. It’ll allow you to see the full menus of all their restaurants and many other details.

Ive halfway taken your advice and decided to do a 50/50 split between the 2. We will spend the first 4 days (Thurs -Mon) at EPM and the next 4 days recovering at Beloved. Ty for your advice!

Hello! Its kinda confusing but there are three Excellence/Finest Resorts in the Dominican Republic. Excellence Punta Cana, Finest Punta Cana, and Excellence El Carmen. This was at Finest Punta Cana which is next to Excellence El Carmen. And a little north of El Carmen is Excellence Punta Cana which is the first resort built of the entire Excellence Collection. Hi! I'm sorry, we did not recognize the brands (and I worked at a wine store before). Shame on me, but I think they were a local brand. Either way, I believe you will still enjoy them and the champagne as well. My wife has requested this as an annual trip, lol, so I'll get the names next time if you haven't visited by then.

We used the free transfer service named Seasons Transfer offered through the resort as well. Transportation to/from the airport is included but when you schedule your transfer let them know what other stops you’d like to make and when and they will accommodate your request. You gotta stop back by after your trip so we can chat about it! Enjoy!

Congrats on 65 and early congrats on 66! Lol, the villa was amazing but the people made it unforgettable. There were many black couples and black groups there. Black excellence at its finest from the butlers to the guests. Lots of fun, can’t wait to go back.

I agree whole heartedly. Celebrated #66 today and looking forward to many more to come. We do plan on returning to EOB next year with a small group of family and friends. But until then I must savor the memories that we were blessed to experience last year. We booked a private transfer that allowed us to visit Negril (7 mile beach and Ricks Cafe) as well as Kingston (Emancipation Park and the Bob Marley Museum), with an amazing stop in the Blue Mountains where we acquired their award winning Blue Mountain coffee. Jamaica is truly the land we love. Respect !

It’s truly a dilemma! Lol. Honestly, Beloved was phenomenal but we had moments where we wish we would have booked at Excellence. We could hear the fun going on next door, lol. The food at Beloved is really good but nothing grabbed our hearts like the restaurants at Excellence in the past. But, the service at Beloved is the best we’ve ever experienced and they seem to have better rooms at Beloved. Either way, I believe it’s a win win for vacationers

Sorry I forgot to mention, if you book 7 days at Beloved you will be allowed to dine next door at Excellence.

Great question! My wife and I actually made that comment several times, it did seem too quiet for our liking. Honestly, kinda boring at times. Excellence was next door and you could hear how lively it was. We should have partied at Excellence and stayed at Beloved, lol. Staying in the penthouse room our last two nights helped because we leveraged the additional amenities included with the room. The beach was great! Water was warm and the waves were not too strong.

We agree! Modernization would surely maximize the resort’s potential.

Hello, I would say the rooftop rooms are the best. They offer more sq footage and privacy than the private pool rooms on the ground floor. Plus, you get stunning views of the resort and ocean skyline from the terrace of the rooftop room. I recommend the Excellence Club Beachfront Honeymoon Two Story Rooftop Terrace Suite with Plunge Pool.

All the dishes at the restaurants were great! One dish that we found ourselves craving daily was the surf and turf dish at Dukes Seafood.

Overall, the restaurants were 8/10. We enjoyed Brass, Dave’s Seafood, and the Chef’s show at Melting Pot. The Market Kitchen also has a great variety of cuisines. Drinks were 7/10 but we like specific mixed drinks that they had trouble making. Lastly, room service was 6/10 but gets the job done.

Just booked exactly the same hotel room! Extremely excited! Is the plunge pool cold or warm? The only odd thing is they don’t have sunbeds on the roof! Hopefully the large bed with non retractable roof can be removed for the floor !great video!

@@jamiesawicki7715 Awesome! Don't forget to book your free private transfer to the resort from the airport. The plunge pool is not heated but it gets hot on the rooftop terrace so its actually refreshing once you get in. If the roof can't be removed the entire outdoor bed can be moved to a different area for more sun. There's so much to enjoy in the room and on the property itself.
