I hate my sleep number bed, it's just an adjustable air mattress. And when you adjust the "firmness" it just sinks in the middle and doesn't deflate in the top or bottom. And the bed is just hard. I even added a pillow topper and it's still hard. I just went today to buy the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt today. I don't know if it's better, but it felt like a dream when I laid on it. It was soft and the base adjusted with lumbar support and vibration 😴

Why is it so difficult to find a truly firm mattress. Whats the deal. Is it really that hard to make a real firm mattress. Do they lose money on true firm mattresses?

Do you know of a mattress that is so soft that you sink in more than halfway through the mattress and feel like you're being suspended in a cot? This would be rated a "10" on the comfort scale and would be one of the softest mattresses in the world with very minimal support.

That mattress looks very soft when you sat on it. The Beautyrest Black Series 3 firm left a lot more firm than that mattress.

I bought one; didn't live up to it's hype. The sad part is that it had so many positive reviews. Can one trust reviews anymore? It seems they are contrived. It seems like we live in the generation of liars.

Agree with Sterns & Foster. They will last. Also, I know their's been a push to all foam mattresses. The foam ones feel nice inititally, but they degrade pretty quickly. I will always stick with spring mattress.

I could see some people thinking the tufting is lumpy, but it flattens out with time and actually feels nice. I thought you stopped selling Aireloom?

I have one of these mattresses and LOVE IT TO THE MAX! I am so particular too. I had a mattress from Saatva and didn’t end up liking it, had another mattress too from Macys, can’t recall the name, but I will say this is the BEST mattress ! I sometimes lay down just because I love how comfortable it is! Get one!

I walked in the mattress store yesterday saying I’d never buy another beautyrest, until I tried the black series 3 & 4 firm 😂 it’s amazing but pricey!

Costs about $800 to build that. And that latex they use is crap. Not all Latex is created equal. But compared to other brands it looks pretty decent.

Just got a Cal King series 3 today and walked out the door paying 2020.00 after tax. Pricey, but compared to sticker price, i could not let that deal go.

S&F are still handmade and stitched. Beautyrest are massed produced.

The aireloom's with the complaints seem to be specific to the Macy's line.

All I can say is The Aireloom "Preferred" is top of the line. Better than Sterns and Foster. One of the best features is that it's fully tufted, which creates a great feel. Would recommend going with extra firm, unless you want a bit softer feel. The ones with the lift feature do actually make a difference.

I bought a BR harmony cypress 13.25" to try. It was okay the first few nights, but started sagging after a week. Like noticeable cratering without popping back up. Foams are just super low quality. The mattress was made to EXCELLENT standards.. above average.. which is ironic since I've had other brands here with worse QC, but better overall feel with MUCH better HDF foam.. stuff that doesn't break in for months.. Law tags uploaded to BR site are also misleading. Said 26 lbs 2oz and the mattress I received was 22 lbs 15oz. Seems they use placeholder listings (with better foams) to account for every factory build across the US. Some regional factories offer slightly different spec.. better and worse. Luckily Home Depot has a good return policy and works with BR for up to 90 days. Full refund without issue. I think BR Black, BR Hospitality, or store exclusives made for certain vendors are the only route when going Simmons/BR. The BRS900, BRS800, Select and Harmony are all on the lower spectrum and a worse product. I view Sealy the same way with certain models.. They don't put high density foams in stuff unless you're already past the $1.5K price range generally speaking. Just a warning to people looking for a deal.. If its too good to be true.. It is!!! Edit: I disagree about the coils. BR has above average coil setups in lower end stuff.. it's just the foams are absolute garbage. Coils can or do matter, but less to the extent that people think. Simmons BR can use good high quality foams, it's just they're generally tied to BLACK or hospitality models. (Unless a certain vendor has exclusive models with better spec). Hospitality BRs don't even use the T2 or T3 system.. It's just HDF on a 825 or 1000 SERIES coil system. 14.75 or 15.5g depending on firmer or plush designs. Foam density > Coils. #BoycottLowdensityfoams. As for deals..Private label maker is prob the only route to get a quality bed in the $1000 segment. I ended up on a Sherwood made for a local store. Spec is L&P Quantum Edge 789 (13.75g 598 count center) And 36 LBS of HDF. Will 100% last longer than any BR or Sealy sub $2000. The good Sealys and BR's are unfortunately price locked by corporate.

I purchased a BeautyRest Black K class back in 2020 & love, love the mattress. What sold me on purchasing this mattress was at the time I was in the store there was a neurosurgeon shopping for a mattress & I payed attention to this neurosurgeon's ultimate choice which ended up being the BeautyRest Black K for his own personal sleep, needless to say that's all I needed to see/hear & my own BRB K purchase has been nothing but 💯% satisfaction. My next mattress again will be a BeautyRest Black K. I bet you this mattress will last me 10+yrs @ 5'10 170lbs if I rotate it + dust mite protector by taking care of it as one should.
