@ what’s it doing that you think is preventing it from running?

@ it sounds like it starts flooding? But also the choke isn’t working. So idk? It’s all found parts so after taking apart the distro and replacing that stuff it starts great it just won’t KEEP running great

@ if your chokes aren’t working the engine will just need to be babied to warm up. If you think it’s flooding you can take the carbs off and check your floats and needles to make sure they aren’t getting stuck. Also check to make sure your points are set correctly, they should be at .016 used when closed. The points will make a lot of difference! Good luck!

@ we replaced the points and the dwell but the choke is tied wide open. It should be getting plenty of oxygen. Next step is a shop or a pro

It’s actually called cumbia and it’s a little different! The neat thing historically is that it’s from northern Mexico, where there were more German immigrants, they introduced the community to two things, beer, and the accordion! This mix of cultures created much of the modern idea of “Mexico” that we experience today!
