I understand now... It all makes sense... The bad ending.. is cannon. The lord of gay has gone back in time multiple times to grow stronger right, but in those other times, maybe our soldier was there and they picked to leave their comrades behind and become a wandering mother base soldier. He has a photo, so to break the cycle, your getting the non cannon ending, because your soldier doesn't get returned to give venom the photo. An over step which may or may not be lore friendly is that Huey... Didnt cause the mutation. That your soldier that got infected. Was infected by the future strain of the vocal cord parasite just in its infant stage. Cause the soldiers in mgsv move weird, almost.. zombie like.. the exact animations if im not mistaken which is most undoubtedly just another resued asset, but this could be the real reason. I mean it was such a drastic mutation. A little bit of radiation couldn't have caused such a big mutation. It was basically taking over their body. Wanting them to go outside. I dont know if im overthinking it or not, but its and idea. I think that alot of reasons that people would debunk this theroy is that Konami has no right interjecting connections to a hideo story, but I think its a possibility.

then the MSF soldier where you have to find him in secondary missions means that this soldier is connected to mgsv tpp

It rubs salt in the wounds too that even the map is also from the cut mission as well. Maybe it wasn't as incomplete as were led to believe. Who knows, maybe one day someone will find a way to mod this back into the PC version of Phantom Pain.

Honestly either ending makes sense in some way cause leaving before finishing the fight has the captain wake up as one of the wandering MSF soldiers but the ending where you kill the Lord of dust has you perpetuate the cycle that started the storyline in the first place
