Making the Perfect Stickbait for Big Fish | Lure Making
In this video, I show you the entire process of creating a stickbait, a floating lure designed to catch large predators.
In these 9 minutes of video, approximately 25 hours of work are summarized.
The shape of the stickbait is inspired by the Bertox lure.
You can find the pliers used in the video from @CavyFishing here (not sponsored):

Copper crimps for the stainless wire is quick and easy, but adds abit of bulk for fitting the wire in the slot. Nice work!

The crimps sure make the job easier...I'll keep them in mind for the next lure. Thank you!

Nice work on the lure mate, looks awesome! Good see someone using the old school 'finger gauging' technique. It surprises me how many bait builders don't know this simple skill.

I've never felt the need to go past 400 grit sand paper for lures. You must have gotten those very smooth. Using a drill to wrap the through-wires is clever! Sure makes it easier and faster. I didn't see any lead or ballast weight added to the lures. Was the through-wire and hooks enough? Nice looking lures! Hope they do well.

The lures were definitely too smooth! I will also stop before 1000 with the next ones. The assembled lure weighs 30g, a bit light but moves very well in my opinion. I hope to upload a video soon with some tuna catches!
